1、精品文档英语读书报告格式要求范文There is no standard form for a book report. However, every book report should contain thefollow ing four parts:1. Identification. Give the title and author s name. If the book is one with which yourreaders may not be familiar, identify it further.Give the name of the publisher, thep

2、lace and year of publicati on, the price, and the nu mber of pages.2. Classification. A word or phrase early in your report helps the reader keep in mind the type of bookon which you are report ing; mystery, biography, humor, adve nture, and so on. A skillful book report gives an overall view of a book without giving away its outcome.Your description of a book may include quotations or brief sketches of sce nes or action that you thinkare represe ntative of the book. 17、ook Report on Sons and LoversBy Che ng Xin, Class 0901Sons and Lovers is a novel written by David Herbert Lawrence and it was first published in 1913in Lon don by Wyman & Sons.D. H. Lawre nce was born at Eastwood, Notts, on September 11, 1885, the fourth child of a minerwho had bee n employed at

18、 Brin sley Colliery since he was 7 years old. In 1911, his first novel TheWhite Peacockwas published.Sons and Lovers is divided into two parts and is composed of 15 chapters altogether. The story,set in England, can be interpreted as an autobiographical novel of Lawre nce. The hero of the book,Paul

19、Morel, is the sec ond son of a min ers family. His mother, Mrs. Morel, is a daughter of amid-class family. Because of the differences in family background and education, a shadow is sooncast upon the married life of Mrs. Morel. And this shadow is darke ned by Mr. Morels laz in ess andalcoholism. By

20、misfortune or bad luck, Mr. Morel has an accident and becomes a cripple, which changes him into a man of bad temper. As a result, the couple shares less and less the things in common and is drive n farther and farther apart from each other. Little by little, Mrs. Morel transports herattention and love to her children, especially her two sons, William and Paul.
