evenwhengiventhechoice.Akindofwhitebutterflywillstayontheleavesofacabbage,eventhough

thereareplentyofothervegetablesinthegarden.However,mostanimalshaveamorevarieddiet(多

humanillness.Forexample,rabbitssufferfromemphysema(肺气肿),alungproblemthatmakes

ithardtocatchtheirbreath.Dogssufferfromcancer,bleedingdisordersandsoon.Catssufferfrom

someofthesamevisionlossashumans.Fromsuchmodelswelearnhowdiseaseaffectsthebodyand

Onceresearcherslearnmoreaboutaparticulardisease,animalsareusedtodevelopandtestthe
