Existentialismisaphilosophicalmovementthatemphasizesindividualfreedomandchoice,andtheinherentmeaninglessnessoflife.Inliterature,thethemeofexistentialismoftenfocusesonthehumanconditionandthestruggletofindmeaninginachaoticandabsurdworld.Inthispaper,IwillanalyzethethemeofsurvivalintheRussianwriterMaximGorky'snovel"TheSevenWhoWereHanged"fromanexistentialistperspective.Throughtheexaminationofthecharacters'experiences,Iwillexplorethethemesofdestructionandsalvation,whicharecentraltothenovel.

SurvivalasaStruggle

Conclusion
