初中英语专题教案状语从句(二)、专题详解(五)目的状语从句目的状语从句,主要用来补充说明主句中谓语动词发生的目的。常用来连接目的状语从句的连接词及其短语主要有:sothat/inorderthat/forfearthat/lest/incase.女口:Hegotupearlysoastocatchthefirstmorningbus.Soastocatchthefirstmorningbus,是用来补充说明gotupearly的目的状语。Hegotupearlysothathecouldcatchthefirstmorningbus.Hecouldcatchthefirstmorningbus,是用来补充说明gotupearly的目的状语从句引导词用法示例sothat意为“以至,以便”。目的状语的谓语常含有may,might,can,could,should,would等情态动词。Trytospeakloudenoughsothatpeoplecanhearyouclearly.Mr.Greenspeaksveryloudlysothatallthepeoplecanhearhimclearly.inorderthat意为“为了”,相当于sothat.inorderto后面可以跟动词原形构成目的状语,不是目的状语从句。Weshallletyouknowthedetailssooninorderthatyoucan/maymakeaarrangements.其他用法:sothat表示“为了;以便”。如:Weturnedonthelightsothatwemightseewhatitwas.(我们把灯打开,以便看看它是什么。)Theyputascreenaroundhisbedsothatthedoctorcouldexaminehim.(他们在他床的四周放上屏风,以便医生给他检查。)【注意】(1)sothat有时可以省略so,直接用that连接。如:Bringitcloser(so)thatImayseeitbetter.(把它拿近点儿,让我看看仔细。)(2)当主从句的主语一致时,sothat引导的状语从句可以改为短语结构soastodo。如:从句:Wemadeastrategicwithdrawal,sothatwecouldbuildupourforcesforarenewedattack.(我们作了一次战略性退却,以便我们能积蓄力量再次进攻。)短语:Wemadeastrategicwithdrawal,soastobuildupourforcesforarenewedattack.(六)结果状语从句结果状语从句是英语学科中的一个句型。从句常由so...that或such...that引导。引导词用法示例so…that意为“如此…以至于…”。so+adj./adv.原级+that,so是副词,只能修饰形容词和副词。so还可与表示数量的形容词many,few,much,little(这四个形容词表示多或少时琏用,形成固定搭配。ThisyearithasrainedsoheavilyinSouthChinathatlotsofproblemsarecaused.Theiceonthelakewassothinthatpeoplecouldn'tskateonit.such..that意为“如此…以至于…"。有二种结构:such+a(an)+adj.+单数不可数名词+that;such(+adj.)+不可数名词+that;such(+adj.)+复数可数名词+that,such是形容词,修饰名词或名词词组。有时可与so…that句型转换。It'ssuchawonderfulsongthatwealllikeit.Simonissuchdishonestpersonthatnoonebelieveshim.Theboyissoyoungthathecan'tgotoschool.=Heissuchayoungboythathecan'tgotoschool.其他用法:1.sothat可以引导目的状语从句,也可以引导结果状语从句。例如:Heworriedsothathecouldn'tsleep他急得睡不着。(sothat引导结果状语从句)Itwasverycold,sothattheriverfroze.天气寒冷,河水都结冰了。(sothat引导结果状语从句)IcametotheclassearlysothatIcouldseetheclassmatebesideme.我赶早来上课,以便早点看到我旁边的同学。(sothat引导目的状语从句)2•表示“如此以致“的“so・・・that・・・”和“such・・・that.・・”均可引导结果状语从句,其中的such是形容词,修饰名词,suchafool;so是副词,修饰形容词或副词sofoolish,具体的搭配形式是:“so+adj./adv.+that",“so+adj.(+a/an)+n.+that";“such(+a/an)(+adj.)+n.+that"。例如:Hespeakssofastthatnoonecancatchhim.他说话太快,无人听得明白。TheshopsellssuchexpensivegoodsthatIwanttobuynothinginit这家商店出售的货物价格昂贵,以致我在里面不想购买任何东西。让步状语从句让步状语从句,是指状语从句中的一种,其本身也是状语从句。一般翻译为“尽管……或“即使……”,就是我们日常生活中用的“退一步说…”的感觉。引导让步状语从句的连词主要有以下这些:though,although,while,as;evenifeventhough;whether...or...;nomatter+疑问词,疑问词-ever,regardlessof+名词/名词短语/名词从句,despite,inspiteof。切记although,though不可与but连用,但可以与still和yet连用。引导词用法示例though意为“虽然”。不能和but连用。但是可以同yet(still)连用,构成though…yet(still).though较普遍,常用于非正式的口语和书面语中。even能和though组合表示强调,在这里eventhough=evenif(nomatterif;though即使…也…)。Soithasliveduptonowthoughitisn'tstrongatall.Thoughtheyaretwinbrothers,theydon'tlooklikeeachother.although意为“虽然”。不能和but连用。但是可以同yet(still)连用,构成although…yet(still).although较为正式,语气比though重,常用以强调让步概念。even不能和although组合。Althoughhediedseveralyearsago,Icanstillrememberthedayswespenttogetherandwhathehastaughtmeaboutlove.其他用法:though,although表示“虽然,纵然”之意。这两个连词意思大致相同,在一般情况下可以互换使用。在口语中,though较常使用,although比though正式,二者都可与yet,still或nevertheless连用,但不能与but连用。例如:IwillremainfirmthoughImustlowermyphysicalsights尽管我得降低体育(锻炼)的目标,但我的意志是坚强的。典型例题1)sheisyoung,sheknowsquitealot.A.WhenB.HoweverC.AlthoughD.Unless答案:C。意为虽然她很年轻,却知道许多。⑵as(though)表示“虽然…但是”,“纵使…”之意。as引导的让步状语从句必须以部分倒装的形式出现,被倒装的部分可以是表语、状语或动词原形,though也可用于这样的结构中,但although不可以这样用。例如:Objectas/thoughyoumay,I'llgo.(=Though/Althoughyoumayobject,I'llgo.纵使你反对,我也要去。whether由这一个复合连词引导的让步状语从句旨在说明正反两方面的可能性都不会影响主句的意向或结果,所以它的语气是比较强烈的,从而也更加坚定了主句的内容。例如:You'llhavetoattendtheceremonywhetheryou'refreeorbusy不管你忙不忙,都要参加这个典礼。区分:(1)evenif与eventhough的区别两者均可用于引导让步状语从句,其细微区别是:evenif引导的从句是往往是假设性的,相当于汉语的“即使”“纵然”“就算”“哪怕”。如:They'llstandbyyouevenifyoudon'tsucceed.即使你不成功,他们也会支持你。eventhough弓I导的从句内容往往是真实的,主要用于引出不利于主句情况的信息,相当于汉语的“尽管”“虽然''。如:Hewentouteventhoughitwasraining.尽管在下雨,他还是出去了。nomatterwhat(who,which,when,etc.)与whatever(whoever,whichever,whenever,etc.)的区别:当引导引导让步状语从句时,两者相同,可以互换(what=thething,whatever=anyting),但当弓I导名词性从句(主语从句,宾语从句,表语从句和同位语从句)时则只能用whatever(whoever,whichever,whenever,etc)。如上面最后两个例句可改为:Howeverpurethewaterlooks,Idonotwanttodrinkit.as引导让步状语从句的用法引导让步状语从句时,as意为“虽然,尽管”,通常从句要倒装,倒装的方法是将从句的表语或状语放在as之前,而用though引导让步状语从句时句字则不必倒装(口语中也可倒装)。e.g.Heavilyasitwasrainingoutside,theystartedoutveryearly.Youngasheis,heknowsalot=Thoughheisyoung或Youngthoughheis,he他虽然年轻,但懂得很多。(though也有这种用法,可以替换as,但although没有这种用法)注意,名词提句首时,不加冠词:e.g:teacherasheis,helikesChineseverymuch(teacher前不力口a或the)。though还可以用作副词,放在句末。如:Itwasahardjob,Ienjoyedit,though=Itwasahardjob,butIenjoyedit.那工作很苦,但是我喜欢干。however用作副词,不可连接句子。但可置于第二句的句首、句末或句中。要特别注意标点的使用。eg:Aliceisagoodstudent.However,shehasoneshortcoming.爱丽丝是—很好的学生,但她仍有缺点。二、课堂检测目的状从:Heleftin___ahurry___heforgottolockthedoor.A.such,thatB.so,thatC.such,asD.so,whenYoumustimproveyourstudymethodyoumaymakeprogressinyourstudies.A.soastoB.inordertoC.soD.inorderthatThePrimeMinistergottotheplatformandsatdown,toanswerthequestions.A.preparingB.beingpreparingC.preparedD.toprepa
