2、basics. Make sure that you dress nice. You know, just because you can doesn 'mt ean you should wear sweat pants, and be really casual when you go to class. Be on time. Being on time just shows respect and it 's a good habit to get into for your whole life. If you can sit near the front where

3、 you can participate and ask questions, then that 'a sgood way to make a good impression. And, really study. I know it tempting , but you are in college to learn. So, if you can, really make your studies a priorityand do that first. So the best way to make a good impression is to make school you

4、r top priority, dress nice, ask questions inclass, show up on time, and really dedicate yourself to learning. I promise you as you get older and go through life, yes, you' ll lookat the great times you had in college. But the most important thing is the education that you got at college. And as

5、far as to the other students, if you want to make a good impression, maybe, you know, go join a fraternity or sorority or something. And join a club, orsomething else to get you involved with other people, because then you can get to meet other people and make new friends. So I think, as long as you

Making Your Time More Productive Spend time planning and organizing Make a daily sched

Keep your books, notes and other class materials in orderYou can waste valuable study time looking for a lost book or a missing set of notes.Do somework on an assignment the day tha

31、 a plan of action to refer to will keep you on task and let you know at the end of your study session what you really accomplished .Give yourself plenty of breaks while studying to avoid fatigue. Take a 15-minute break for every 2 hours you study your brain still processes information even when you

32、are not actively thinking about it. Just be careful that a short break doesn' turn into a long one. Use the time between your classes to read or review.Make a to-do list and prioritize the items on it start with high priority tasks and work your way through the list. Make a not-to-do list it 

33、9; asgreat way to break time-wasting habits.Don' t spin yourwheels when you aren ' t getting something, ask for help. Take some time off. Students often feel guilty when they aren' t workingbecause they think about everything they should be doing. But if you plan out your schedule, you k

34、ndw you ' ll have time to get everything done. That way, when you' ve finished your work for the day, you can feel free to relax and enjoy yourself. 2. Ten Steps to Preparing an Effective Oral Presentation Determine the purpose of your presentation and identify your ownobjectives. Knowyour a

35、udience and what it knows.Define your topic. Arrange your material in a way that makes sense for your objectives. Compose your presentatio n. Create visual aids.Practice your presntation (don ' t forget to time it!)Make necessary adjustments. Analyzethe room where you' II be giving your pres

36、entation(set-up, sight lines, equipment, etc J. Practice agai n. 3. Delivering an Effective Oral Presentation Dress comfortably, but appropriatel y.Be yourself. Establisharapport with your audience (humor, anecdotes, demonstrations) .Be consciousof your posture, your voice, your gestures, and your “

37、 body language ” . Move around at least a little, butt no too much (avoid swaying from side to side or rocking back and forth, and try not to pace). Face your audience and make eye contact. Pause or take a drink of water if you need to compose yourself. Be prepared for questions, both by allowing ti

38、me for them and by anticipating what audience members will likely ask. 4. Answering QuestionsAn ticipate questi ons.Liste n carefully to all questi ons, wait ing to resp ond un til you aresure thatyou understand whatbeingasked. Repeat questi ons before resp onding to them.
