英语专业论文文献引用格式

1、文献引用文献引用注明出处反映了论文作者对所涉领域的把握和治学的态度。 文学方向论文一般按 MLA 规。引用格式要做到全文前后一致。引文必须准确。任何引文都必须标明页码，以方便读者查找。短于 3 行的引文应写入正文，用双引号标明。引文中的引文用单引号标明。1）夹注引文出处使用括号夹注的方法。夹注的容包括引文作者的姓氏、名字缩写（必要时） 、引文的页码和引文出处（文章、著作等）的标题或标题中的关键词组（必要时） 。引用具体观点或文字引文不超过一页时，页码标注方法：(Soja 124)引文超过一页时，页码标注方法：(Soja 122-124)如果作者姓氏在正文中已经出现，则不需要在括号夹注中重复。如

2、： Gamlin suggests that the novels“emphasis on the tale-telling nature of the story”(68) enables the immigrants to retell historical events.如果连续引用同一位作者同一篇文献同一页容， 则第二次引用时在括号夹注中标明 ibid. 如： Advocators of these movements argue for “their own distinctive cultures recognized within the public sphere ”(McKe

In other words, they are linked by a “distinctive concern with questions of identity ” and are fighting for “recognition of cultural difference”(ibid.).引用中文著作或期刊，括号夹注中须用汉语拼音标明作者姓氏，不得使用汉字。如： (Zhu 12)引用同一作者的多篇文献引用同一作者的多篇文献时， 应在括号夹注中标明文献标题中的关键词。 如： In his poems, the only woman poet is a“target f

4、or the male poets word knives”(York, “Whirling ”74).引用同样姓氏的不同作者如果两个或两个以上的作者有相同的姓氏， 则括号夹注中应同时标明他们名字的首字母。如：This group of people“remained wild and spoiled”(M. Ondaatje 100) in the 1920s and their life was “characterized by extravagant fun and drunken escapades”(C. Ondaatje 20).引用多位作者的同一文献两位作者： The libe

5、ral-bourgeois public sphere eventually deteriorates into “the pseudo-publicity of the mass media”(Crossley and Roberts 157).三位作者：在括号中用逗号分隔他们的姓氏。如：(Bulkin, Pratt and Smith 84)三位以上作者：在括号中标明第一位作者姓氏，其他作者用et al. 7、; Howarth 84).如果不同作者的多篇文献过长，则不使用括号夹注，而使用脚注。引用团体作者引用团体作者的作品，括号夹注中应标明团体的名称。如：(The Departmentof Canadian Heritage)引用无作者文献引用无作者文献，如果文献标题没有出现在正文里，则括号夹注中应标明该标题中的关键词。如： An anonymous Wordsworth critic once argued that his poems were too emotional (“Wordsworth”100).引用书信和谈话引用书信和谈话（包括电子、访谈、等）中的观点或文字，应在括号夹注中标明出

8、处（包括交谈形式和时间） 。如： Jesse Moore (telephone conversation, May12, 1989).引用非直接文献论文应尽量避免使用非直接文献，但在无法找到直接文献的情况下，引文可以从非直接文献析出。 如：According to the local historian Randall White, during the 1920s the “cultural demography in Toronto started to become a complicated subject” (qtd. in Lowry 140).引用诗歌引用诗歌少于 3 行时，可在

9、正文中写出。对于分节的诗歌，应在括号夹注中标明引文的节、行。行与行之间用“ /”隔开。如： When Homers Odysseus comes to the hall of Circe, he finds his men“mild/ in her soft spell, fed on her drug of evil ”(10.209-11).括号夹注表明引文来自诗歌第10 节第 209 至第 211 行。“line标”明行数，以后对于不分节的诗歌，第一次引用时应在括号夹注中用的引用则不需要再说明。如：第一次引用：(lines 5-8)；以后引用： (12-13).引用剧本引用剧本时，应标出

10、引文的幕、场、行。如： In his famous advice to players, Shakespeares Hamlet defines the purpose of theater,“whose end, both at the first and now, was and is, to hold, astwere, the mirror up to nature”(III.ii.21-23). 括号夹注表示引文来自剧本第三幕第二场的21至23行。引用圣经等经典文献引用圣经等经典文献时，应标出引文的篇、 章、节。如：Consider the words of Solomon: “If

If they are thirsty, givethem water to drink”(Bible, Prov. 25. 21)括.号夹注表明引文来自 圣经的箴言篇第 25 章第 21 节。（注意：圣经各篇缩写有标准的写法， 使用时应加一核对。）引用网络文献引用网络文献时，应标出引文作者和引文出现的段落。如： (Smith, Para. 10) 引用整篇文献的观点引用整篇文献（全书或全文）的观点时:如果作者姓氏在正文中没有出现，则在括号中标明作者姓氏。如： Charlotte and Emil

13、改引文出现在正文中，使用引文的句子不得违反英语语法，不得出现句中句。如：正确： So it is not like what Luthi calls“entering effortlessly into fruitful contact with distant worlds”(63).错误： So it is not like what Luthi calls “enter effortlessly into fruitful contact with distant worlds”(63).正确：Max Luthi points out that the first apparent th

He is often an old child”(59).为了使含有引文的句子合乎语法，或者使含有引文的句子的含义更加清楚，往往需要对引文进行修改。删除词句：删除引文中的词、

15、词组、句子时，应遵循两个原则。第一，引文被删除部分容后，句子应完整和合乎英文语法。第二，引文被删除部分容后，句子不应使读者对引文原意造成误解。被删除部分用省略号表示。省略号前后各空一个字符。句子中间部分被删除： In Ondaatjes books “history, like narrative, becomes both a process and a product”(Davis 272).句子开头部分被删除： “The ice shone with light. even to a boy of eleven, deep in the woods after midnight, thi

16、s was obviously benign”(Ondaatje 21).整个句子被删除： Gill Valentine writes: “Nations are forever haunted by their various definitional others. 17、ds增添词组：引文部分需要经过修改，以符合英文语法。修改部分须放置于方括号。如： However, the English patient“sees him more as one of those spare men of the desert” (Ondaatje 119).引文中的部分容需要加以补充 /说明，以便于读者更好地理解。 说明部分须放置于方括号。如：Hundreds of poems“written on walls, ceilings, and in hidden corners of the Vidylankara campus ”of the University of
