Unit2 My family Wu Jia Dian Primary School Lu Yaling Part 1 The analysis of the teaching material The analysis of the teaching material This lesson is a dialogue which is the first lesson of this unit and it plays a very important part in the English teaching of this unit Teaching aims 1 Knowledge aim Though the true nature of the situational teach students how to inquire about the identity of the man and the correct use of personal pronouns such as he she At the same time the students can understand and talk with the sentences This is my family Who is that man boy He is my Who is that woman girl She is my 2 Ability aim To introduce thier family members simply 3 Emotional aim Pay more attention to training students love for the family and the life Teaching important points and difficult points How to ask others their family members and introduce their own family members Something about the students 1 The students have known something about to call thier family members in English simply 2 They are lack of vocabulary 3 They don t often use English to express themselves and communicate with others 4 Some of the students are very active in class but the others are not interested in English at all Part 2 Teaching theories methods and aids Before dealing with this lesson I ll do my best to carry out the following theories Make the students the real masters in class while the teacher himself acts as directors Let the students receive some moral education while they are learning the English language Teaching methods 1 Guessing method 2 Question and answer activity teaching method 3 Reading 4 Pair work Teaching aids 1 Multimedia 2 Blackboard 3 Pictures Part 3 Teaching steps I have designed the following steps to train their ability of listening reading speaking and writing especially reading and speaking ability Step 1 Warming up Review Sing a song You and Me Purpose It is important to form a better surrounding for the students by singing And make the students have a cheerful state of mind to study English Step 2 Presentation 1 The teacher ask students to ask T Who s that woman man Ss She He is The teacher and students continue having talks emphasize the pronunciation of English personal pronouns 2 The teacher show the photo from the TV series of Home With Kids Teacher ask Who s that man boy Who s that woman girl Students answer He is my She is my 3 Teacher show s a picture of Xiao Yu s family And use the form of talks between the teacher and students introduce her family members Step 3 Practice 1 Divide the students into groups of two or three children Ask several groups to show their family photo and the rest one or two students ask Who s that man boy or Who s that woman girl Students answer She He is my Purpose Let the students consolidate the key points of this lesson in order to develop students ability of communication Step 4 Ho
