7.3.1Aims:
Thismoduleseekstoprovideaninsighttotheoriesandconceptsinthestudyofhuman
behaviourthataresignificantwithregardtoworkingwithothersinanorganisational
setting.Inaddition,themoduleaimstoenablestudentstranslatebehaviouraltheory,
conceptsandtechniquesintopracticeandtherebyenhanceorganisationalperformance.
7.3.2IntendedModuleLearningOutcomes
Onsuccessfulcompletionofthismodulestudentswillbeableto:

Thismoduleintroducesstudentstotheprinciplesandpracticesofprofessionalpeople
management.Themodulewillallowstudentsreflectontheirownpeoplemanagementskills

7.3.5LearningTeachingandAssessmentStrategy
TeachingStrategy
Thecoursewillbetaughtthroughacombinationoflecturesand/orcasestudiesand/or
examples(in-class),individual/groupexercisesandwillbeassessedbymeansof
assignments(100%ofmarks).Studentsmustattemptandpassallassessments.
Four/Sixhoursoflearningonthismodulewilluseon-linedeliveryutilisingMoodleand
AdobeConnectasrequired.Thislearningwillnotcomprisestand-aloneinformation,but
integratedcloselywithclassroomactivities.Lecturersarerequired,aspartofmodule
delivery,tospecifyandprepareappropriatematerialsaddressingsomepartoftheindicative
content,toagreethiswiththeProgrammeTeam,andtoensuretimelyandeffective
communicationwithlearners.
Theprogrammeatlevel6ontheNFQwillofferStudentsthebasistobuildonandpursue
furtheracademicqualificationsatlevel7.Inreflectingthis,theprogrammerequiresthat
participantsspendasignificantportionoftheirtimeonindependentlearningandresearch.
Thiswillcontributetowardstheirunderstandingofthematerialpresentedinclasses.
