名词专题

判断词性,确定名词单复数

1.根据题干的语法结构,特别是设空前的限定词判断词性:冠词、代词、数词、量词、形容词和介词后应

接名词形式。

2.根据句法结构判断词性:如果所填词在句中作主语、宾语、同位语时,一般用所给词的名词形式。

3.确定词性为名词后,根据常用的前后缀将所给词转换成适当的形式,然后再根据名词本身确定可数与不

可数,如果名词可数,则需根据名词前的限定词或修饰语,确定名词的单复数形式。

①不定冠词a、an后用单数名词。

②名词前有oneofthe时用复数名词。

③名词前有many、several、few>afew、anumberof、hundredsof,acoupleof、adozenof、all、

both、other等词时,填复数名词。

④名词前有超过1的基数词,如two、three等时,填复数。

⑤名词前有形容词different、various等时,填复数名词。

4.利用谓语的数来确定名词的单复数形式。

①所填名词作主语,且谓语动词是复数形式are、were、have等,填复数名词。

②所填名词作主语,且谓语动词是单数,则填单数名词。

5.提示词是名词,分析句子成分后发现词性不需改变,则考虑用所给名词的复数形式,同时注意不规则变

化的情况。

6.牢记习惯上用复数形式的名词或短语

belongings/possessions"财物";congratulations“祝贺";surroundings"环境";goodmanners"礼貌";taketurns

“轮流”;takepains“努力”;inalldirections"向四面八方";inruins“成为废墟”;inhighspirits“兴致勃勃”;

livingconditions“生活条件”等。

7.①牢记永远不可数的重点名词:fun“乐趣";furniture”家具";information“信息”;progress“进步";advice

“建议";weather"天气";equipment"设备";knowledge“知识";homework"家庭作业";housework"家务

活“;work”工作";luggage/baggage”行李

②同一个名词如experiencesuccess等有可数和不可数的用法。

8.注意名词所有格与名词作定语的区别

名词所有格表示名词之间的所有或所属关系;名词作定语用来修饰另一个名词,表材料、类别、用途等.

考点一名词的数

名词按其词汇意义可分为专有名词和普通名词。普通名词包括可数名词和不可数名词。可数名词有单

数和复数之分,不可数名词没有复数形式。

1.可数名词单复数的变化规则

一般情况下在词尾直接加-S

以-x,・ch,・sh结尾的名词在词尾加-es

②名词复数的不规则变化

单复数同形deer,sheep,Chinese,means(方式,方法),series,species

man一men,woman一women,child—children,tooth—>teeth,foot—>feet,

词形变化

mouse—>mice

将主体名词变为复数:passer-by-passers-by,looker-on-lookers-on

合成名词的复数无主体名词时通常在最后一个词后加复数词尾:grown-up—>grown-ups,

stand-by^stand-bys

名词前有man或man/woman和中心词都要变为复数形式:womandoctor-womendoctors,

woman修饰manwaiter—>menwaiters

【名师点津】

(1)常以复数形式出现的名词:thanks,congratulations,wishes,greetings,shoes,trousers,works(著作;工厂),

manners(礼貌),instructions(操作说明),directions(用法说明),papers(试卷;文件),times(时代)等。

(2)一些固定短语中的名词只用复数形式,常见的有:taketurnstodosth.,inhighspirits,makefriendswith,

shakehandswith,makepreparationsfor,makebothendsmeet,takepainstodosth.等。

2.不可数名词

(1)常考的不可数名词

一般来说,物质名词和抽象名词是不可数的,因此没有复数形式,一般也不能用a或an修饰。通常只用作

不可数名词的有:milk,music,homework,housework,weather,news,butter,information,bread,advice,progress,

equipment,fun,luggage,luck,work(工作),traffic,furniture,wealth,word(消息),room(空间),man(人类)等。

【名师点津】

word意为"消息",room意为"空间”,man意为“人类”时通常不带任何修饰词。

(2)抽象名词的具体化

具有某种特性、状态、情感的抽象名词表示具体的概念时,可以与不定冠词连用,常考的有:

抽象名词(不可数)具体化(表达个体概念时,是可数名词)

winsuccess获得成功asuccess一个成功的人/一件成功的事

考点二名词的格

1.4所有格

主要用于表示有生命的人或物的名词,其变化方法如下:

构成例词

一般是在名词词尾加'SJohn'shome

以-s或-es结尾的复数名词,只在词尾加’students9textbooks

词尾不带-(e)s的复数名词,仍加,schildren'sgame

2.of所有格

表示无生命的事物的名词通常用of所有格表示所有关系;名词短语或有定语修饰的有生命的名词也常

用。f所有格。

3.双重所有格

双重所有格的构成为:“名词+of+名词y或“名词+of+名词性物主代词”。表示“其中之一”或“其中

一部分”,名词前可用a,any,some,afew,two,this,that,these,those等修饰,但不能用the。

(1)表示时间、距离、重量、地方等无生命的事物的名词也可以借助'S表示所有关系。

冠词解题两步法

1.判断设空后的名词是可数名词还是不可数名词。若是可数名词,看是单数还是复数。

2.根据语境或语法结构确定是泛指还是特指。复数名词或不可数名词表泛指,其前不加任何冠词;单数可

数名词表泛指时其前需要加不定冠词,表特指要加定冠词the。

【名师点津】a与most连用,位于形容词之前时,most是表示程度的副词,意为“非常”;the与most连用,

位于形容词或副词之前时,most是最高级的标志,意为“最……的”。

两个口诀巧判用a/an还是the

①用定冠词的情况:特指双熟悉,上文已提及,世上独一无二,专有名词前、西洋乐器前、序数词与最高

级前。

②用不定冠词的情况:泛指一类人与物,与。ne同义表“一”;和序数词一起表”又一,再一“,词首字母读元

音,冠词就要用an,其他一律用a。

五种可能填冠词的情况

1.填不定冠词的情况:

①________+单数可数名词

②+形容词+单数可数名词

2.填定冠词的情况:

①(+定语)+名词+of等介词短语(表特指)

②(+定语)+名词+定语从句(表特指)

③(+定语)+名词+不定式/分词短语(表特指)

根据固定搭配或用法确定冠词

①动词(catch/lake/hit等)+sb.+介词+the+身体部位。

②ataloss”不知所措";awasteof...“浪费...'';havealook/takeawalk”看一看/去散步”等固定搭配。

③a+比较级(+名词),表“一个更……的人或物”。

④抽象名词具体化的名词(可概括为:惊、乐、憾、傲、慰、险、助、成、败、美)surprise、pleasure,pity、

pride、comfort、danger>help、success>failure、beauty,表具体的意义”一个”时,其前应加不定

冠词a或an。

考点一不定冠词

不定冠词用于表示泛指,一般修饰单数可数名词,有a和an两种形式。当紧跟冠词的名词的第一个音

素是辅音音素(不是辅音字母)时,用不定冠词a;当紧跟冠词的名词的第一个音素是元音音素(不是元音字母)

时,用不定冠词an。

1.不定冠词的基本用法

(1)用于第一次提到或出现的可数名词单数前,泛指某一类人或物中的任何一个。

Atthattime,Iwasworkinginafactory.Thefactoryproducescarparts.

(2)用于可数名词单数前,泛指一类人或事物,或指同类中的“一个”。

(3)表示数量“一”,但不强调数量概念;或表示“任何一个”。

(4)用于表示人名的专有名词前,表示“一个叫……的人,一个类似……的人,一部……的作品”。

2.不定冠词的活用

(1)用于序数词前,表示“又一,再一

(北京卷)Firstimpressionsarethemostlasting.Afterall,younevergetasecondchancetomakeafirstimpression.

(2)不定冠词可以用在某些具体化的抽象名词前,常考的具体化的抽象名词有success,failure,surprise,pleasure,

beauty,pity,danger,comfort,honour等。

(3)有些不可数名词如knowledge,collection,understanding等后面加of...时,前面需用不定冠词a/an0havea

1.定冠词的基本用法

(1)前面已提及的人或物再次被提到时,或谈话双方都知道的人或物前,一般要加定冠词,表特指。

(2)用在被短语或从句修饰的名词前,表特指。

类人或物。

(4)用于表示朝代、年代的名词前,或用在逢十的年代前,表示“在某世纪几十年代工

(5)在形容词或副词的最高级或序数词前或由only,very,same等修饰的名词前面用定冠词the。

2.定冠词用于固定结构及固定短语中

(1)用于“by+the+表示计量单位的名词(day/houi7dozen等)”结构中,表示“按...计算”。但size,weight这类

名词跟by连用时不加定冠词。

考点三零冠词

1.零冠词的基本用法

(1)复数名词、不可数名词、抽象名词或物质名词表泛指时,其前不加冠词。
