单元总备

一、教材分析：

本单元的主题是“逆境与勇气”，主要围绕英国探险家沙克尔顿及其

“坚忍号''船员的南极内容分析探险展开。其经历大致如下:沙克尔顿

带领的“坚忍号”探险队于1914年8月从伦敦出发，探限目标是横穿

南极大陆。然而，由于被浮冰围困，他们不得不弃船居住在浮冰之

±o随着浮冰不断碎裂变小，船员们又被迫流落到无人的象岛。为

了挽救被围困的船员，沙克尔顿带领救援小队乘救生艇赴南乔治亚

岛捕鲸站求助。最终，在他们的不懈努力下，所有人获救，于1917

年春天返回伦敦。由于沙克尔顿与“坚忍号”船员的南极探险过程复

杂、情节曲折，编者将故事连贯地铺陈在本单元的各个板块，使板

块之间环环相扣，内容细节前后呼应。本单元的引言来自英国著名

作家塞缪尔・约翰逊，句子的意思是:伟大的作品不是靠力量，而是

靠坚持来完成的。perseverance一词在此句中被翻译成“坚持此外，

它还常被翻译为“毅力”“韧性”“不屈不挠”等含义。

二、文本分析：

活动主题:该板块的主题是“探讨冒险精神"(Explorethespiritof

adventure)o这一板块展现了探险家沙克尔顿招募船员、少年珀西登

上“坚忍号”、“坚忍号”被困并沉没、船员登陆象岛、沙克尔顿组队

求援的大致过程，其中每一个事件都伴随着对相关人物的考验，展

现了探险家和船员们不畏艰险、不惧困难的精神。在学习这一板反

块时，学生一方面要结合历史背景理解探险家和船员们所面临的极

端困境，另一方面要结合故事细节对人物的性格和品质进行分析，

从而发现“成功的失败”背隐藏的相:领导者危不乱、敢于担当船员乐

观积极、团结奋进，领导者与船员之间互相尊重、彼此信任。文本

分析:阅读文本分为两个部分，一部分是背景知识介绍，另一部分是

以“坚忍号”服务员珀西・布莱克博罗的口吻写下的三篇日记。从沙克

尔顿带领“坚忍号''船员于伦敦启航，直到他们全部回到英国，这一

历程长达两年多。

语法结构：语法结构:本单元的核心语法结构是现在完成进行时，这

一时态的谓语结构为“have/hasbeendoing”,学习和掌握这一语法结

构的难点在于理解和区分现在完成进行时和现在完成时。

活动主题:该部分的主题是“学习如何应对挑战”(Learnhowtohandle

challenges)o学生将通过听了解探险家沙克尔顿带领救援队寻求救

在此基础上完成有关南极探险的写作任务，培养学生恰当使用衔接
