1、序言从今年年初开始,我一直向同学们许诺,要把机考单词重新整理订校,直到最近才做出一个象样的东西。在我自己的GRE备考生涯中,词汇方面给我最大帮助的两本书是:老俞97版的GRE词汇精选和I GET ALL,因此在我整理这些词汇的过程中,一直将我认为的这两本书中的精华贯穿始终:红宝书中的帮你背单词的思想,和I GET ALL 中的M-W的释义。我将我在编辑词汇的过程中所做的工作罗列如下:1,订校了每一个单词和类比反义题,用2000版红宝书中的汉语释义解释每个单词,对每一个类比反义题提供了M-W的释义。2,给大多数的单词提供了词缀和词根的分析,以及一些联想记忆的方法。3,给每个单词加注了音标。4,对

2、一些有争议的类比提出了我自己的看法,考法不明的单词做出了标记。由于时间紧迫,我做的东西还比较粗糙,就在我将手头的工作进行进一步的完善的过程中, ETS突然宣布,在中国的GRE考试将恢复为纸笔考试。很多同学听到这个消息后的反应是“复习时无从下手”。我很理解大家的心情,所以把我手头所有的资料上载,供大家复习使用。纸笔考试以后机考出现过的单词仍然很重要,但不再是唯一。经过对GRE 的研究就会发现,ETS 出题一向有延续性,而机考的单词就是目前ETS 考试的最新动态,也是我们能拿到的最新题,它的参考价值不言自明。但同时我们也要知道,机考的单词绝不能还是我们复习GRE词汇的唯一依据,对于任何一个考生来说

3、,词汇的复习将不再有捷径。这样对流了更多的汗,掌握了更多词汇的同学来说是公平的。这也是我个人认为纸笔考试回归的重要意义所在。站在另一个角度来看,“人为刀俎,我为鱼肉”。目前我们能做的选择就是提高自己的实力,面对现实,屏弃所有侥幸心理,踏踏实实走好每一步。在我做这个工作的过程中得到了很多同学的支持,他们中有朱政、JOJO、赵辉、BIGHAND、周浩等等,首都医科大学的陈鑫、徐春丽为这本书做了大量的工作。在此一并向所有人表示感谢。第二部分 List 1 abandon : inhibition = despair : hope = tranquility :agitation放任:禁止= 绝望:希
