During the war my ship was at Konigsberg. One night I was told to help our soldier put some big wooden
13、 boxes onto my ship. They were very heavy and the soldier said they were full of treasure. The ship went out to sea. LISTENING TEXTOn our voyage, our ship was attacked and sank. Almost everyone died. I had to swim three kilometers before I was saved by a German ship. Nobody had time to save the boxe
14、s. They must still be buried in the sand. Now a group of people who are searching for the Amber Room have asked me to help them find the ship. Part B: Anna Petroys story Hello, my name is Anna Petrov. I was a maid at the castle in Kaliningrad between 1940 and 1945. One night in 1941 many trucks came
15、 to the castle with large boxes. The German soldiers took the boxes into the castle. Later we heard that a special art treasure in the castle was shown to important visitors. Perhaps it was the Amber Room but I never saw it. Then at the end of August,1944, I heard something explode. When I looked ou
16、tside I saw that the castle was on fire. The next morning I found some melted pieces of something that looked like honey. Russian soldiers later told me it was amber and it could have come from the Amber Room. Speaking1. Discuss in pairs which person gave the best evidence. The following expressions

So I cannot be sure that hes correct.S1: How clever you are! In my opinion Anna Petrov gives the strongest e
20、vidence. She saw some melted pieces that were honey-coloured after the explosion.I think shes telling the truth when she says that it could have been amber. Do you agree?S2: Yes, I do. I also think she is telling the truth because she has nothing to gain. Jan Hasek and Hans Braun could both make som
21、e money if people believed their stories.But Anna cannot make any money. This makes her story more believable.S1: Yes, I agree. Lets fill in the sentence and fid out what other groups think .2.
