studentstolearnnounclauses.Meanwhile,inthetextbook,therehas

alreadybeenthedetailsofthechanging.Sointhislesson,Ineedto

presentmoreexamplestohelpstudentstounderstandthedetailsmore

deeply.

willbecreatedforthislesson.

Inthisstep,Iwillaskstudentstowatchseveraladvertisements.In

everyvideosthereisapersontotalkaboutthemeritsofhisorher

products.ThenIwilllistseveralsentencesonthePPT.Forexample:

are.

therightpictures.ThenIwillshowtheoriginalsentences,thatis,the

directspeechoftheadvertisementandthelistedsentencesbefore

together.Askstudentstoobservethesentencesandtrytothinkabout

whatisthedirectspeechandreportedspeechandhowtochangedirect

speechintoreportedspeech.Studentscandiscussitwiththeirpartners

andpresenttheiranswers.Bydiscussing,thewholeclasscanfinally

drawtheconclusionthat:wecanchangedirectspeechintoreported

speechbyusinganobjectclauseoraninfinitivephrase.

reportedspeech:

Thewordthatcanbeomitted.

2.Nounclausesintroducedbywhether/ifcanbeusedtoreport

yes/noquestions.

3.Structure:reportingverb+object+(not)+toinfinitivecanbeusedto

reportimperativesentences.

Afterstudentslearnsomebasicformsofreportedspeech,Iwillshow

somesentencesusingdirectspeechandaskstudentstotrytochange

themintoreportedspeech.Afterallthestudentsfinishit,Iwill

underlinethepersonalpronouns,tense,timeandplace,pronounin

thesesentencesandaskstudentstochecktheirdeskmates'sentences

againandpayattentiontotheunderlineparts.

Afterstudentschecking,Iwillpresentthesentencesstudentsmade

andaskthemtoconcludetheimportantpointsofchangingadirect

speechintoreportedspeechfromthefollowingaspects:personal

pronouns,tense,timeandplace,pronounandotherspecialcases.

Advertisementisthetopicofthisunit.Afterlearningthereading
