Teachingobjectives:

1.LearnbackgroundknowledgeaboutMars,suchasitsshape,surface,climate,etc.

2.Cultivatestudents'interestandcuriosityinscientificandtechnologicaltopics,stimulatestudents'imaginationandcreativity.

3.Improvestudents'readingprehension,includingmainideaprehension,detailprehensionandinference.

2.Predictthecontentofthetext:Leadthestudentstopredictthecontentofthearticletobelearnedinthislesson,andaskthestudentswhattheythinkaboutthearticle.

3.Readingprehension:Studentsreadthetextindependentlyandhelpthemunderstandthekeyinformation,newwordsorgrammarinthetextbyaskingquestionsandgivingfeedback.

4.Cooperativeexploration:Studentsworktogetherinagrouptodiscussandexploreandexchangequestions,ideasortopicsinthearticle.Theteachercanprovidesomeleadingquestions,suchas:"Doyouthinkthepointsintheessayarecorrect?"Why?"
