Theydiscoveredtheupperandlowerfrontteethofancienthumanadultswere
aligned(对齐),makingithardtoproducelabiodentals,whichareformedbytouching
thelowerliptotheupperteeth.Later,ourjawschangedtoanoverbitestructure(结构),
makingiteasiertoproducesuchsounds.
Theteamshowedthatthischangeinbitewasconnectedwiththedevelopmentof
agricultureintheNeolithicperiod.Foodbecameeasiertochewatthispoint.The
jawbonedidn'thavetodoasmuchworkandsodidn'tgrowtobesolarge.
Analysesofalanguagedatabasealsoconfirmedthattherewasaglobalchangein
