Whencoldheaderworking,thewirerodthatputinthewirestockviastraighteningdeviceconsistedof5rollers,thenviapressblankwheels,wirerodiscontinuouslytransmitteduptostopblockdeviceandcutoffbyshearingknife,thentransmittedtodiecavityhole(headedposition)byshearinglever.Itisformedintoconeshape(i.e.neartofinishedproduct)byinitialpunchofthepunchbigslide,thenusingprecisepunchformintorequiredheadshapeoftheproduct.Finallytheproductknockedoutbyknockoutdevice,anddropintoproduct-box.Thisisfullprocessofheadingoperation.

Operationofheadingmechanismisdrivenbybeltpulleyofmotor&crank,andcarryingconnectlever,andviapistondrivingbigslide.Operationofothermechanismisdrivenbycamshaftoreccentricdevice,rotatingofthecamshaftiscarriedbymatedgears(driveratioi=1:2)andcrank.

Feedingmechanismmainlyconsistsoftwoparallelshafts、connectingleverandfeedingrollers.Eccentricwheelcarryingswingpartandthepawldrivingratchet,ratchetdeviceisdiscontinuouslymadetofeedwiretoheader.Thefeedinglengthisdecidedbyeccentricityofeccentricdrivingwheel.

Shearingoperationisfinishedbyshearingknife,shearinglevercarryingshearingknifetodoreciprocatingremove,itisfinishedbyslideofshearingdevicedrivingrollerinchute.BecauserollerinchuteputononeendofshearLever,slideisdrivenbyeccentricsmallshaftofrotatingdiskofcamshaft.

Headingoperationofpunchisfinishedbyupanddowntwopunches,andpreforming&finishupsettingtoblankinturn.Upanddownremoveofpunchliftslideisfinishedbyliftcamcarryingliftbigplate、liftswingpartsandliftplateofpunch.

Afterheadingfinished,theheadedhalf-finishedproductisknockedoutbyejectorpinindiecavity.Oncethisheadingprocesshasfinished,nextheadingprocessstartrepeatly.

Headingspeedisdecidedbyfinishedproductlength.Beltpulleyofmainmotorhavetwoclassbeltgroove.Ifheadingshanklengthismorethenmediumlength,youshouldselectlowerspeedbeltgroove.

Lubricationandelectricityofcoldheader

Lubrication

Ourheaderlubricationusehighpressureinject-typelubrication,i.e.lubricatingoilflowingfromhighpressurepumpforcedlyinjectintoalllubricantpoints.Thus,oilfilmbetweenrelativemotionpartscankeepinlongtime,however,goodfilmcanbekeptbyoilcontinuouslyflowingandreplacingofoil.

Thus,mechanicalimpuritybetweenmotionpartsarecontinuouslyclearedaway,machinelifeisprolongedgreatly,andasoilfilmhavecushioningeffect,lowernoiseofourheadermakeoperatorfeelingwell.

Fewoffrictionalpointsthatcannotautomaticallyinjectlubricatingoilstillrequirelubricatingwithoil-can.

Headerisequippedwithunrefinedoilfilterandrefinedoilfilterinoilroute,itneedoftentocleanforkeepingcleannessofmobileoil.

Mobileoilisusually20#or30#industrialmineraloil.

Adjustingoffeedmechanism

Rotatingadjustscrewrodbeingcapableofremovingeccentricslide,thuscanadjustfeedinglength.

Iffeedingrollersaretooloose,youcantightencompressionspring,iffeedingrollersaretootight,youcanrotateproperloosecompressionspring.

Adjustingofshearmechanism

Whenheadingshanklengthisdifferent,first,needadjustingstopblankdevice,ifshankofthepartislonger,stopblockisadjustedtofarfeeddieholderdirection,otherwise,stopblockisadjustedtonearfeeddieholderdirection.

Ingeneral,adjustofshearmechanismismainlyforadjustmentofshearadjustdisk.Ifshankofthepartislonger,shearadjustdisktowardanticlockwiserotating,ifshankofthepartisshorter,shearadjustdisktowardclockwiserotating.

Whenadjusteccentricshaftposition,oughttonoticeaftercuttingoffblank,theblankshouldbeaccuratelytransferredonaxiallineofdiecavityhole.

Whileblankisthrustindiecavityhole,shearknifemustleaveintimetoavoidcollidingwithpunch.Particularly,whenheadingshorterblank,oughttonoticetheaccuracyofadjustingretract.

Accordingtoaccumulateexperiencetoadjusteccentricshaftpositionofsheardisk,aftercompletingtheadjustment,don’tstartonoperationatonce,youshouldturntoflywheelwithironstickformanycircles.Onlywhenyouthinkthemachineisundernormalconditions,youcanstarttheworking.Whenadjustingshearknifeposition,youcansimultaneouslyadjustgrooveofshearleverandadjustscrewsocket.

Adjustinghorizontalpositionofpunchanddie

Whenhorizontalpositionoffirstandsecondpunchdon’tcoincidewithheadingaxleline,needturninglooselocknutandbolt,leadpunchtoremoveinhorizontaldirection,whenoncereachingtherequiredposition,tightenthelocknutagain.

First&secondpuncharefixedwithlockboltofdraggingpunch.Ifyoutakeoffpunch,onlyneedturningloosenutoflockbolt.

Adjustingofknockoutmechanism

Whenheadingproduct,asshanklengthisdifferent,thusknockoutmechanismshouldalsohaveappropriatestroke,accordingtoshanklengthoftheproducttoadjustthestroke.

Whenadjustingknockoutmechanism,firstturningflywheeltocarrycamshaftandcam.thecamthatisinminimumradiuspositiondrivingroller,therollerdriveejectorpintripodandknockoutsliderod.Adjustboltofknockoutsliderodendtodriveejectorpinswingpart,knockoutsliderod、ejectorpinandotherpartsaughttoclosetogether,itcannothaveanyclearancebetweentwoparts.Thistime,youinsertrequiredblankintothediehole,thenusingspecialsamplerandmeasuringtooltomeasuretheblanklengththatstretchoutthediesurface.Whenyouthinkitconformwiththedemands,limitedscrewisturnedagainstejectorpinswingpartandislocked,thenadjustboltisturnedinanoppositedirectioninhalfcircle,maintainingalittleclearancebetweenadjustboltandejectorpineswingpart,thenfasteningadjustbolt.Afteryouthinktheadjustmentisappropriate,turningtheflywheeltoknockouttheblankfromthedie.Whenturnuptomaximumknockoutposition,payattentiontoejectorpinswingpartwhethermakecamtopunabletoturnroundtheroller.

Ifhappenthiscondition,adjustboltshouldbedrawback,andincreaseclearancebetweenadjustboltandejectorpinswingpart,tomakecamregulartorevolve.Aboutadjustbeginningknockouttime,aftercamsawtoothplateshouldberevolveuprequiredbeginningtime,fixingthecamsawtoothplate.

6)Adjustingofpunchbigslide

Whenmanufacturingproductofdifferentdiameterordamagingdieandtool,needreplacingthedieorpunch.Replacingpunchmustadjustforshaftpositionofbigslideundernormalconditions.Butclearancebetweendieandpunchmustbemoderatesize,makingmachineabletorunnormally.

Ifyouwanttoadjustbigslideforwardneartothedie,firstreleasesmalllocknutandpistonlocknut&bolt,thenturningadjustscrewsocketandmakingittogoup,bigslidecanbeadjusteduptorequiredposition,thentighteningscrewrodfixingnut,finally,retightenbiglocknutandpistonlocknut.

Ifyouwanttoadjustbigsliderearwarddepartingfromthedie,usingthesamemethod,firstreleasesmalllocknutandpistonfasteningnut&bolt,thenturningadjustscrewsocketandmakingittogodown,thistimethereisaclearancebetweenbigslideandpiston,thentightenpistonfasteningboltforeliminatingtheclearance,finallyretightenbiglocknutandpistonlocknut.

Bigslideisadjustedtowardsthefrontortheback,undernormalconditions,operatorisunabletofinishinonetime,needgraduallyadjustingfortwoorthreetimes.

Adjustingofpunchliftmechanism

Springframeofliftmechanismmountsintherighthandsideofcoldheader,itadjustedwellasleavingthefactory,thus,operatorneednotadjustittopreventmessingcausedbyunskilledoperation,makingmachineunabletoworknormallyordamagingthemembersofmachine.Infact,whenourcoldheaderputintouse,ifneedadjustingpunchliftposition,onlyrequireaverylittleadjustment,mayonlyadjustup&downlimitedbolt,neednotadjustingthepartsofspringframe.But,inordertooperatorunderstandsworkingprincipleofspringframeofliftmechanism,forthisreason,weonlytellyoutheworkingprincipleaboutit.

Twolifttouchrollersofspringframearedrivenbycamoninsideofcamshaftgear,thespringframeisslidinfrontandbackunderlimitationofliftbigcopperslideplate.Whenremovinginfrontward,traverseratthecenterofspringframedrivespring,thespringdriveliftspringlongjacket,theliftspringlongjacketdrivetwolockcircularnuts.Throughscrewrodcarryingslide,theslidecarryingliftswingparttomakepunchslideplatetogoup.Whenrisingpunchislimitedbylimitnut,thespringframecontinuouslyremovetowardsthefront.Thistime,thespringiscompressedbytwosmalllocknutsandliftspringlongjacket,becauseliftswingpart、slideandscrewrodareallinquiescentstate,therefore,whenadjustingsmalllocknut,neednotexcessivelycompressingthespringtomakethespringtoloseelasticityforfatigue.

Whenspringframeremovesinbackward,thebigplatetailscrewsocketdriveliftspring,theliftspringdrivesliftspringshortjacketandlockcircularnut.Throughscrewrodcarryingslideresultinliftswingparttoswingindownward.Thistime,punchslideplateremovesindownward,uptotouchwithlowerlimitedboltofpunch,thespringframestillcontinueremovingrearward.Atthistime,liftswingpart、slide、shortremovingjacketandscrewrodareallinquiescentstate,thespringiscompressedbybigplateendscrewedsocket,soyoushouldproperadjustbigplatescrewsocket.

8)Pointsforattentionaboutusingheader

Beforestartingamachine,firstturningflywheelbyhandsorpushing“pointstarting”pushbutton,makingflywheeltorotate2circles,ifthemachineisrunningwell,youcanstartthemachine.Firststartingoilpump,thenstartingmainmotor,atsametime,theplacewhichcannotautomaticlubricateinjectoilbyoil-can.

Afterstartingthemachine,youneedwatchingwhetherthereisenoughfeedinglength(i.e.feedingwirerodwhethergetintouchwithstopblock),ifcannot,firstcheckingwhetherfeedingrollersaretooloose,ifso,youshouldproperpress&tightthespring,ifnot,youshouldcheckandfindanothercause.

Youshouldcheckblankwhetheraccuratelythrustinthediehole,ifnot,needgoingonadjustmentforshearin
