cultureAComparativestudyonschooleducationAsweallknow,therearelotsofdifferencesinschooleducationbetweenChinaandAmerica.NowIwanttotalkaboutthedifferencesfromprimaryeducationtohighereducation.ThereasonswhyIwanttocomparethesetwokindsofeducationstyleareverysimple.Firstly,ifwewanttolearnaboutacountry,weshouldlearnitseducationalstyletosothatwecanlearnhowtheycultivatethenextgeneration.Secondly,wecanstudyothers'advantagesandimproveours',especiallyforwedevelopingcountries.Third,developmentofsocietyalwaysreliesonscience,andsciencecomefromeducation,ifwewanttobestrong,educationistheverykey.Youmayaskwhythedifferencesexist,yeah,why?Inmyopinion,differencescomesoobviouslybecausewehavequitedifferentthinkingmethods,weChineseprefertosummarizeexperienceaftereverypractice,andwearegoodatapplyingoursummaryintopractice.WhileAmericansareusedtodoingsomepracticefirst,theycanachievealotinthesepractice.Inotherwordsourthinkingmethodislimitedintheeldergeneration'sexperienceseriously,whatwedoistoapplythesesummaryintoapplication,itwilldogreatharmtoourinnovation.Nowletuscompareourdifferentkindofeducationstylefromprimaryeducationtohighereducationbetweenthetwocountries.PrimarySchoolEducationIt'ssocommonthatourchildrensufferlotsofhomeworkafterclass,whatismore,theyounghavetoattendtoeverykindofextraclasstoimprovetheirscores,wehavetoadmirethatourchildrengraspbetterbasicknowledge,however,whatweloseisfarmorethanwhatwegain.Asisthetimeshouldwehaveareflection,weputsoheavypressureontheyoung,butitdoesnotworkwell,childrenoughttohaveahappychildhood.While,childreninAmericanhavelessclassesandlesshomework,teachersprefertolettheyoungdomoreactivitiesnotexercisetheywantthemtoconsidermoreandachievetheinterestduringtheirpractice.Teachersoftenletchildrenhavefreetalkstotrainspeakingskills,sotodaywecanseeAmericandobetterinarguing.Duringprimaryeducation,theirstudentsmainlystudymathandlanguage,teachersusuallyarrangesomeactivitieswhichneedtobefinishedingroup,itnotonlyimprovestheyoung'sfriendshipbutalsodoesgoodtotheirsenseofateamwork.WecanseetheUSchildrenhavequiterelaxedgrowingenvironment.TheyhaveamorecomfortablechildhoodIthink.HighSchoolEducationInChinesehighschool,westudyforthreeyears,duringthisperiod,studentshavealotofthingstodo,mostofwhichisaboutstudy,everydaywearepreparingforcollegeentranceexamination,weallwanttomakegoodscoresandchooseanidealcollege,soyoucanimaginethisthree-yearcareerisagreatchallengeforus.Everyday,webeginourclassfrom7:00to12:00inthemorningandfrom2:00till5:30intheafternoon,duringaday'sstudy,wemainlyhavemath,physic,chemistry,biology,EnglishandChineseclasses,thesearetheverysubjectsweshouldprepareforcollegeentranceexamination.Wealsohavesomeinterestingclasses.EachweekwehavetwoPEclasses,duringthistimewecandowhatsportsweloveandwecanalsorelaxourselves,inmyopiniononlytwoPEclassesarereallynotenoughforus.Wehavetwopsychologyclasses,inthisclassteacherwillshowussomeexcitingtopicsthathavesomethingtodowithus,itreallyhelpusalotwhenwefeellostandfrustrated.InArtclassteacherwillshowusfamouspicturesandtellusthestoryofeachwork,wefeelquiterelaxedatthismomentaswecanhaveasleepordosomeotherthings.Thoughstudyisessentialduringthesethreeyears,yetwhatisthemostimportantIthinkisthatwedevelopgreatfriendshipduringhighschoollife,andourfriendshipissopurethatwecantrusteachotherwithoutanyhesitation.Thoughthesethreeyearsisthebusiestperiod,itreallygivesusanvaluablememory.WhenwecometoAmericanhighschool,wecanseetheyhavearelaxedstudylife,asisseen,theirhighschoollifeissimilartoourcollegelife,theycommonlystudyforfouryearsduringhighschool,theyneednottopaytoomuchattentiontocollegeentranceexamination,inAmerican,peoplepreferyourabilitythanyourscores,sostudentsworkhardtoimprovetheirallkindsofabilities.Theygotoclassfrom7:30to2:15fromMondaytoFridayandonlysixclasseseveryday,maybeyoudonotbelieve,butitisreallytrue.Theyalsohavemoreinterestingclassessuchaspotteryclass,theatreclassandlegalclass,whattheschoolwantsistostrengthenstudents'practicalskills.AmericanstudentsgotoclassindifferentclassroomwhileweChinesehavepermanentclassroom,whatismore,theyarefreetodevelopthemselvesandmajorinthesubjectstheylike.Aslongastheygetenoughcreditstheycangetgraduated,sowecanconcludethattheirstyleislikeourcollegestyle.Andourclassatmosphereisalsodifferent,Chinesestudentsshouldsitrightlyandanswertheteacher'squestioncarefully,weconsiderthatshowsourrespecttoourteacher,however,Americanstudentsprefertositascomfortableastheyfeel,theythinkitisgoodforstudyefficiency.CollegeEducationInthispartwewillcontinuetointroducethedifferencebetweentwokindsofeducationstyles.InChina,havingentrancedcollege,studentsfinallyhavethechancetoleadarelaxedlifeaftersomanyyearsstudylife.Manyofthempursuitnottofailineveryterm'sfinalexamination,consideringthatisenough.Andafterthesefouryears,studentsbothcangetajobandgoforfurtherstudy,itmainlydependonyourpersonaldesire.Inthefouryear'slifewehavetogetenoughcreditstogetgraduated,weneedtoattendtorequiredcoursesandelectivesubjects.Incollegeyoumaynotgotoeveryclass,itissocommonthateverystudenthaveeverescapedfromclasses.Andduringthesefouryearswecanjoinallkindsoforganizationsandthatisagoodwaytoimproveourcommunicationskillsandwecanmeetmorepeople,maybeoneormoreamongthemwilldousafavorinthefuture.Wealsotakepartinmanykindsofnationalexaminations,amongwhichareCET4,CET6,andNCRE2.Ifyougetthecertification.Itwillhelpyoualotwhenyouattendajobinterviewaftergraduation.NowletushavealookatAmericancollegelife.Inthefrontofthisarticleweknowtheirstudentshaveaveryrelaxedlifeastheydonotneedtoworryaboutenteringcollege,theycangotocollegethoughtheirscoreislow,ofcourse,ifyouwanttochoosefamouscollegeyoushouldhavegoodscore.AfterAmericanstudentsenteringcollege,manyofthembegintoworkharderthantheyeverdid,theymaystayinthelibraryalldaylong,theythinkitistimefortheireffort,ortheywillnotgetsatisfiedjobaftergraduation.AndonthewayIwanttosaysomethingnotsoimportant.InChinaastudentcangotofamousuniversityaslongashehavegoodsocialrelationship,andhewillgetagradualcertificate.WhileifyoustudyinAmerica,youshouldpayattention,gettinginbythebackdoorisimpossible,ifyoudonotworkhardyouwillnevergraduatesuccessfully,andnosatisfiedjobiswaitingforyou.Ingeneral,Chineseeducationalstylepaysmoreattentiontobasicknowledge,especiallytomathphysicandchemistry.OurstudentsreallyhavesteadybasicknowledgethattheUSstudentsadmireverymuch.WhenweturntoseeUSstudents,wecaneasilyfindtheyprefertoimprovesocialskills,includingarguing,socialworkandteamwork,thisdifferenceleadtoaphenomenonthatifChineseandAmericanbothworkinacompanymostoftheAmericanswillworkasmanager,andmostofweChinesewillworkastechnicalstaffwhoworkforthemanager.Whenaskedwhatbringthisdifference,Americansay"Chinesehaveverygoodknowledgestandardbuttheyarenotwillingtotalkabouttheiropinionsinmeetings,theyareusedtoworkalongwithformerexperienceandlackinnovationspirit."DifferenteducationsystemInChinathemajorityofyoungpeoplewillgettheopportunitytoenjoythe9years'mandatoryeducation,andveryfewpeoplecangotohighschoolorcollege,sotheproportionofpeoplegeteducatedtothewholepeopleisquitelow.Thereasonwhyourgovernmentputssomanyeffortstoencouragetheyoungtogetfurtherstudyismainlytoimproveournation'squality.InAmerican,educationattractgreatattentionfromthegovernment,compulsoryeducationis12years,3yearslongerthanours,thestudentsnotonlyenjoyfreebooksbutevenhavefreelunch,fromthisyoucanseehowAmericancareabouteducation.Whatismore,mostofthepeoplewillnotgetsatisfiedwith12yearseducation,ifso,theycanhardlyge
