6、guage.3.Show four pictures of body language and match them with their meanings.1.Greeting.2.Do the guessing game.3.Finish the matching work.Step2.Pre-reading(2 min)Show the reading material and ask Ss to predict what we are going to learn in this passage according to the two pictures before reading.

7、Ss use their imagination to predict whats the passage about from the pictures by themselves. Step3. While-reading(18mins)1st reading:(3mins)Ask Ss to read the whole passage quickly to find out the main idea of the passage. Ask Ss to choose the headings with correct paragraphs.(The teacher leads them

8、 to use “skimming” reading strategy)2nd reading:(10mins)Ask Ss to read each paragraph carefully to answer some detailed questions.(The teacher leads them to use “scanning” reading strategy)3rd reading:(5mins)Ask Ss to complete the table according to the text in their reading card. Ss should read the

9、 passage for three times to find out the answers to those questions and finish their reading card by themselves so as to deeply understand that the body language in different countries may have different meanings with different cultures.Step4. Post-reading(12mins)Show the Ss more common body languag

10、e with different meanings that we usually use in our daily communication and ask them to match their corresponding meanings. 2.Ask Ss to act them out with their partners and then choose some pairs to show in class.1.Finish the matching work of those common body language with their meanings. 2.Do the

11、 act-and-guess activity with their partners and act them out in class.Step5.Summary(2min)Ask Ss to fill in the blanks of summary so as to sum up what we have learnt in this class. Fill in the blanks of summary and realize the importance of body language in different cultures.Step6.
