Students are guided to understand the background information of the book called Letters from Father Christmas, such as its author, the relationship between the author and the
7、 readers, and the reason why he wrote letters. Step 1: By looking at the pictures and making the guess, students interest can be aroused immediately and the theme can be presented naturally.Step 2. Students prior knowledge about different gifts to celebrate Christmas and express love will be activat
8、ed.Step 1. Students get to know the literary form and try to guess the main idea before reading through the whole passage.Stage Three: While-reading (20 min)Step 1. Students read the passage quickly to get the best choice about each paragraph of the passage,and then divide the whole passage into thr
