1、基础英语课程标准课程代码:062003课程名称: 基础英语课程类型:必修 课程属类:专业基础课程 课程学分:16计划课时:256学时适用专业: 英语本科制订时间: 职业资格: 教师资格、翻译类工作资格开课部门: 外国语学院英语系一、课程概述(一)课程性质基础英语课程是英语专业基础阶段一二年级学生的专业基础课程。根据高等学校英语专业英语教学大纲的“英语专业课程描述”,基础英语课程是一门综合英语技能课程,主要培养学生英语听说读写译的基本功,对学生进行全面的、严格的听说读写语言基本技能训练,奠定良好的英语语言基础。同时,它是高级英语的先导课程,并对高年级其它课程学习,如英美文学、翻译理论与实践、语言

2、学、词汇学、英语国家文化等,起非常重要的铺垫作用。基础英语注重培养和提高学生综合运用英语的能力,并为学生顺利通过全国英语专业四级统考奠定基础。(二)课程定位基础英语课程以提高学生的英语基础知识为中心,通过课内外的练习和讨论加强对英语听说、词汇、语法、阅读、写作、翻译等知识的掌握,提高学生听、说、读、写、译综合能力,切实地为学生大三、大四的专业英语学习奠定坚实基础。根据我校英语专业本科师范学生的特点,以就业为导向,教学以学生为中心,培养有扎实英语基础,能独立思考并用英语来表达思想的高技能高素质的英语人才。后续课程:高级英语、翻译理论与实践、英美文学、语言学、词汇学、英语国家文化、学术论文写作等。

3、(三)课程设计思路1、基础英语课程应该以现代外语教学理论为指导,以遵循语言教学和语言习得的客观规律为前提,集多种教学模式和教学手段为一体。依据本科师范生的培养目标,在帮助学生打好语言基础的同时,重视培养学生英语实际应用和交际能力,注重语言技能输入和产出的训练,为学生高年级各门英语课程的学习打下厚实的基础。2、坚持以人为本,关注学生情感,激发学生学习英语的兴趣,注重培养和提高学生的自主学习能力,为学生提供自主学习资源,在帮助其形成有效的学习策略的同时,提高他们的创新意识、创新能力、应用能力、分析和解决问题能力。3、注重学生的语言实践活动。坚持以学生为中心、以教师为主导的教学原则,运用交际为目的、

4、师生互动的教学方法,充分调动、发挥学生主体性,培养学生参与课堂教学实践活动的意识和习惯。同时最大限度地超越课堂和语言学习的限制,使教与学延伸和拓展至课本知识之外,尽可能地拉近课堂与社会实践的距离,使学生掌握实际工作英语交际本领,为学生步入社会打下良好的基础。4、充分运用多媒体、网络等现代化教育技术,采用全方位、立体化、网络化的教学手段,提高教学效率和教学质量;充分利用互联网丰富的英语教学资源,创造良好的英语学习环境,逐步形成完整合理的教学体系。5、创建客观高效的考核评价模式。对学生能力的评估实行具有综合性和全方位性的形成性评价与终结性评价相结合的方式,客观考核学生学习情况。二、课程目标(一)课

5、程工作任务目标基础英语课程划分为第一学年和第二学年两个阶段。第一学年主要目标是传授英语语音、词汇、语法、句法、篇章结构等基础知识,对学生进行全面的、严格的听、说、读、写、译基本技能训练,使学生学会运用英语进行一般交际,培养学生形成良好的学习习惯及逻辑思维能力。第二学年主要目标是加强英语各项技能的综合训练,提高学生的逻辑思维及判断能力,培养和强化跨文化意识,使学生能够把握英语篇章主旨、文体修辞、语言技巧,学会使用工具书获取所需信息,独立完成规定的学习任务,在英语知识、应用技能及文化素质方面得到提高,为三、四年级的进一步学习打下坚实的基础。(二)职业能力目标经过四个学期的基础英语课程学习,配合英语

6、口语、语音、语法、听力、阅读、英语国家概况等课程学习,学生应该掌握英语语音、词汇、语法、句法、修辞、语篇等基本语言知识,并逐步提高语篇阅读理解能力,了解英语各种文体的表达方式和特点,扩大词汇量和熟悉英语常用句型,具备基本的口头与笔头表达能力,了解英语国家文化背景差异,掌握一些跨文化交际知识与交际策略,为最终能够熟练运用语言基础知识、语言技巧及跨文化交际能力来处理日常工作中的事情和解决实际问题打好坚实的语言能力和交际能力基础。语言水平测试能达到英语专业四级水平。 职业资格证书考核目标 全国高校英语专业四级水平考试及格证书。课程教学内容及学时安排基础英语课程使用教材为新编英语教程(第三版)1-4册
