14、 对于生活、社交或与工作相关的话题，能够用正确的语法与充分的词汇进行表述，能有效地参与大多数谈话。谈话内容流畅有条理，尽管语言使用上仍然有瑕疵，但不会造成误解。可以充分表达意思，可能仍有口音，但发音基本准确，惟有重音、语调以及音调高低的控制上可能有误。 785-900 可有效地运用语法，满足大部分工作上的需求。对于其特别感兴趣或有所涉猎的特定话题，能相当有效地沟通，而且表达流畅。但在紧张或面临压力时，仍会出现不妥当或不正确的措辞。 605-780 能应付日常社交需求和工作上有限的需求。可以应付例行业务上的需求，但是当面对较为复杂的业务是，就无法有效地以英语沟通。在一般的社交场合，可以有自信，但

15、并不流利地讨论与时事、工作、家庭或个人背景有关的话题，但无法使用复杂的语法结构，一般可以恰当地使用常用词汇，但非常用词汇就无法恰当使用。 405-600 能持续地进行可预期的面对面交谈，满足有限的社交需求。但与其交谈者经常需要借助自身的日常生活经验才能费力地了解说话人的简单话语。由于缺乏词汇，说话时常常犹豫不决，或被迫改变话题，语句也很简单。 255-400 可应付礼仪上最基本的要求，对于熟悉的话题可以面对面交谈。语言能力非常有限，常会发生误解。除非事先演练，否则无法做连续性的交谈。以英语为母语的人士，必须靠本身的生活经验，才能吃力地了解说话者最简单的话题。 10-250 仅能以熟悉的句子应付
