Language points1. 有一句谚语, “入乡随俗”。在该句中,do as the Romans do的意思

9、是“像罗马人那样去做”。其中,as表示“正如,像”。2. No one will be cross. 没有人会生气的。这里cross是形容词, 表示“生气的”。我们还学过cross用作动词,表示“横穿, 穿过, 交叉”。3. 当定语从句所修饰的名词或代词(先行词)指物并且该名词或代词在定语从句中充当主语或宾语时,应该用that / which 代替先行词引导定语从句,当that / which在定语从句中充当宾语时可以省略。4. however意为“然而”, 表示转折。but也可以表示转折, 但两者用法不同。but总是位于所引出的分句之首, 而however可位于句首、句中或句尾;but之后不用逗号, 而however常用逗号与句子的其它部分隔开。Step6.
