中文摘要模糊限制语是一种普遍而复杂的语言应用现象。它广泛地应用于各种自然语言中和各神不同的语体中。在交际中，若能正确地运用，起着不可替代的作用。自1 9 6 5 年扎德( l a z a d e h ) 发表模糊集合后，关于模糊限制语的研究便呈现出蓬勃发展的局面。但是，迄今为止，大部分关于模糊限制语的研究对其解释还远远不能令人满意。本文从v c r s c h e f c n 的顺应理论出发，探讨了模糊限制语这一语言使用现象。作者认为模糊限制语的使用是交际者在语言交往中不断做出选择以实现交际目的的过程。这种选择之所以成为可能是因为自然语言的三个特点：变异性，商讨性和顺应性。语言使用者在交际过程中做出具体的语言选择是为了顺应语境。就模糊限制语的选择来说，主要是使用者为了顺应时空、文化、社会、和心理动机这四方面的语境因素。作为顺应的结果，模糊限制语可以在交际中实现其语用功能，这主要表现在两方面，一是会话合作的表现，二是维护面子。这两种语用功能的实现分别是通过遵守合作原则和礼貌原则体现出来的。总的说来，顺应理论在解释语言使用现象时，将时空、文化、社会、和心理动机等因素考虑在内，因此，与以往的理论相比，它更好地解释了模糊限制语这一语言使用现象。关键词：模糊限制语顺应理论语境合作原则礼貌原则a
