诗歌翻译与现代性 学科专业：奘语语言文学 指导教师：刘立辉教授 研究方向：英美文学 研究生：戴伟平( 2 0 0 1 2 1 9 ) 内容摘要 诗歌翻译作为翻译活动是语言文本到另一语言文本的转换行为，同时，它又 一利，艺术创造。诗歌翻译的目标即通过汲取源语的异质体验完成目的语的感性体 验的延伸。诗歌翻译者的工作即是不懈地寻求把蕴涵在源语言诗歌中的异质体验 纳入到目的语中的最佳方式。这样从而改变目的语，进而影响目的语使用族群的 体验与思维方式。在翻译滔动中，这种对异质因素的追寻与认同恰恰契合了审美 现代性的历史特征，即其对差异性的不断发现与肯定。简言之，这种精神质态与 姿态上的契台使诗歌翻译和现代性有着内在的联系。因此，现代性可以而且必须 成为一个视角来研究诗歌翻译中的种种问题。 然而，为了更好地认识诗歌翻译的问题，我们必须转向语言观和诗学。诗歌翻 译研究综述表明诗歌翻译中的问题总是无法绕行对语言和诗歌本质的追问，事实 上，有什么样的语言观就有什么样的诗学，而有什么样的诗学就有什么样的诗歌 翻译观。这说明了语言观和诗学是诗歌翻译研究的重要方面。 掘此，本文试图从现代性这一角度，分别以索绪尔和雅各布逊的理论的基本假 设为依托来观察现代语言观和诗观，发现诗歌翻译的现代性诉求是现代语言观和 诗观的内在要求。换言之，现代性背景成为了将三者联系在一起的内在纽带，因 而它可以为棚应的诗歌翻译策略提供有效理论基础和合理性。 在文学翻译研究领域很多翻译理论家呼吁借助其它学科对翻译作本体论意义上 的思索，以期发现这一活动的本身的规律。本文的研究方法总体上遵循这一思路。 e 本文由五个章节组成。 第一章简介本文的研究路径和吉路，同时回顾国内外诗歌翻译领域的主要理论 事件。 第二章梳理了现代性作为一个时期术语的复杂历史并总结了它的要旨。由于本 文侧重审美现代性，在此对两种现代性作了必要的区分。总之，现代性价值观的 核心是基于现代时间观念上的对新的推崇，在这种观念中，时间永远无法结束向 着未来而非未来的终端进发的路程，美学现代性注重主体在现时的感性体验同时 不断受到对异在的追寻的支配。 第三章以从现代性出发的视角对索绪尔的理论和雅各稚逊的诗学进行分析。现 代性背景在现代语言观中体现在以下几个方面：对现时的关注，语言本体论以及 形式的意识。随后对语言在诗学中的地位作了回顾，详细讨论了雅各布逊的诗学 对现代语言观的继承和他的诗学本体论。同时提及现代主义诗歌中语言观和诗学 现代性的集中体现。 第四章分析语吉观和诗学的现代性对诗歌翻译提出的要求，并举例说明现代性 的诉求为相应的诗歌翻译方法提供了合法化背景。
