摘要 荣格的心理学理论与文学有着密不可分的关系。荣格经常在文学作品中寻找证 据证明他的理论，同时也用他的理论分析文学作品。自我实现与个性化理论是荣 格理论与文学批评的一个交点。自我实现与个性化理论是指个人的精神各个成分 经历完全分化并充分发展的过程。本论文在对勃朗特维莱特作了细致地分析 后得出结论：维莱特展示的是一个完整的个性化进程，书中作者以第一人称 叙事的写作手法完美地展现了一个个体的心理成熟之路，并通过迸一步地分析 得出个性化成功的原因，希望对个体的心理成熟带来启示。 绪论部分简单介绍勃朗特以及小说维莱特，重点介绍了维莱特在国外 的研究情况及荣格精神分析学与文学批评的渊源，引出本论文的理论依据。 第一章分析露西走向成熟的第一个阶段：认识阴影。阴影在作品中以鬼魂尼姑 的意象出现，代表了露西个性中受压抑的部分，即对爱情和美好生活的向往。露 西对尼姑由恐惧到接受再到主动探寻这个过程就是心理成熟，认识并克服阴影的 阶段。 第二章介绍个性化的第二阶段。露西意识到自身性格中的男子基质并将其构建 到身边的男性形象身上。最初，露两在一次女扮男装的表演上意识到了自己对男 性的向往：而后在与约翰大夫的交往中她将自己对男性的理想建构在他身上，但 是随着心理日趋成熟露西意识到约翰大夫与自身潜意识中的男子基质并不吻合， 并成功地在保罗教授身上实现了构建。
