摘要 英国诗人罗伯特白朗宁( 1 8 1 2 1 8 8 9 ) 的长诗环与书( 1 8 6 8 1 8 6 9 ) 是英国1 9 世纪最 杰出的长诗之一。这首诗详尽地叙述了十七世纪末发生在罗马的一桩谋杀案及其审讯过程， 反映了诗人在婚姻、家庭、生命等问题上的深刻思考，集中体现了诗人的创作思想和艺术水 平。其中诗人对基托、庞壁利亚和卡蓬萨契三个主要人物的刻画，秉承了他之前创作的几首 戏剧独自短诗中人物形象的精华，并且更细腻、丰满。自发表以来，这首诗就得到评论家们 的广泛关注。然而由于受本身结构的影响，这些评论多限于对其叙述方式的关注；也有人曾 研究反讽，但还是脱离不了研究那几首短篇戏剧独自诗时反讽结构的影响；对于其中几个主 要人物的研究远远不够，并仅限其中的一两个人物。本文在以往研究的基础上，从反讽的角 度切入，着力分析诗人对基托、庞壁利亚和卡蓬萨契三个核心人物的刻画。 包括引文和结论，本文分为五部分。 第一章主要研究家庭暴君基托。他出生于没落的贵族家庭，凡事以自我为中心，对人对 己两套标准。然而颇具讽刺意义的是，他偏偏娶了庞璧利亚那样完美的妻子：但后者的完美 丝毫不能改变他，反而使他变本加厉。这个暴君最终众叛亲离，最终在不理智中伙同帮凶连 杀数命，并绝望地走上断头台。 第二章主要研究完美无辜的女性庞璧利弧。从在娘腹中孕育到生命的终结，她的一生一 直被悲剧笼罩着。命运像总和她开着无情的玩笑，把她所应享的幸福一一剥夺，即使是最后 出现的一丝爱的希望也渐渐消失。但她从未放弃对亲人的爱和对人生持有的坚定信念，内心 始终充满了爱与宽恕。她替众人背起罪恶的十字架，在祈祷中死去的她，仿佛在渴求另一个 公平的世界。 第三章主要研究犹豫不决的传教士卡蓬萨契。他出身名门并受过系统的神学教育，照理
