LouisBraillewasbominavillagenearParisin1809.Whenhewasthree

yearsold,hehadanaccidentinhisOther'sworkshop.Hepickedupasharp

toolandsomehowpokeditintohiseyes.Withinmonths,littleLouiswas

blindinbotheyes.

HewassenttoaspecialschoolfortheblindinParisandlearnttoread

interestedinfindingasystemwhichcouldbeusedforblindpeopletowriteas

Butin1854,theschoolwhereBraillehadbeenastudentandateacher
