In2009therewerefewerthan10,000casesforthefirsttimesincerecordsbegan,andin2015thisfiguredroppedto

fewerthan3,000,accordingtothelatestfiguresfromtheWorldHealthOrganisation.TheWHOhopesthediseasewill
