IV.Procedures

Warm-up(5minutes)

Greetthestudentsandaskthemhowtheirweekendswere.

Askthestudentstosharewheretheywentovertheweekend,andwhattheydidthere.

Writesomeoftheiranswersontheboard.

Pre-listening(5minutes)

Askthestudentstonamesomeplacestheycangotoinacityortown(e.g.

park,cinema,shoppingmall,etc.)

Writetheiranswersontheboardandelicitsomeprepositionsofplace(e.g.

in,on,at).

Explainthattheywilllistentoaconversationaboutadayoutintown,andtheyneedtocompleteachartwiththeplacesmentionedintheconversation.

Listening(10minutes)

Playtheaudiorecordingoftheconversation.

Distributethechartandaskstudentstofillitinastheylisten.

Playtherecordingagainifnecessary.

Post-listening(10minutes)

Askstudentstosharetheplacestheyheardintheconversation,andelicitprepositionsofplace.

Writethemontheboardandaskstudentstocreatesentencesusingtheprepositionsandtheplacestheymentioned.

Askstudentstomatchtheplacesontheboardwithpicturesonthetextbook’spages26-27.
