Introduction:

Aluminumisawidelyusedmetalmaterialinmanyindustries,butitsprocessingisquitedifficultduetoitshighhardnessandlowductility.Inordertoimprovethequalityandefficiencyofthealuminumrollingprocess,lubricantadditivesareoftenusedtoreducethefrictionandwearbetweentherollandthealuminumstrip.However,theadsorptionpropertiesoflubricantadditivesonthealuminumsurfaceduringtherollingprocessarenotwellunderstood.Inthispaper,weaimtostudytheadsorptioncharacteristicsoflubricantadditivesinthealuminumrollingprocess.

ExperimentalMethods:

Inthisstudy,afour-highrollingmillwasusedfortherollingexperiments.Differenttypesoflubricantadditiveswereaddedtothemillataconcentrationof3%.Thetemperatureandpressureoftherollingprocesswerecontrolledat250°Cand50MPa,respectively.Aftertherollingprocess,thealuminumstripswerecollectedandtheadsorptionpropertiesofthelubricantadditiveswereevaluatedthroughdifferentmethods.

ResultsandDiscussion:

Theresultsshowedthattheadsorptionoflubricantadditivesinthealuminumrollingprocesswasaffectedbyseveralfactorssuchastemperature,pressure,andconcentrationofadditives.Theadsorptionbehaviorofdifferenttypesofadditiveswasalsodifferent.Forexample,theadsorptionoffattyacidlubricantadditivesincreasedwiththeincreaseintemperature,whiletheadsorptionofsulfideadditivedecreasedwithincreasingtemperature.Pressurealsohadasignificanteffectontheadsorptionoflubricantadditives.Theadsorptionofadditivesincreasedwithincreasingpressure.

Furthermore,theconcentrationofadditivesalsoaffectedtheadsorptionbehaviorofthelubricantadditives.Theadsorptionofadditivesincreasedwiththeconcentrationoftheadditivesuptoacertainpoint,beyondwhichtheadsorptionstartedtodecrease.Thisphenomenonwasduetothesaturationofthealuminumsurfacewiththelubricantadditives.

Conclusion:

Thisstudyprovidesatheoreticalbasisfortherationalselectionandapplicationoflubricantadditivesinthealuminumrollingprocess.Theadsorptionoflubricantadditiveswasfoundtobeaffectedbytemperature,pressure,andconcentrationofadditives.Theadsorptionbehaviorofdifferenttypesofadditiveswasalsodifferent.Thisinformationcanbeusedtooptimizethelubricantadditivesinthealuminumrollingprocesstoimprovetheefficiencyandqualityoftheprocess.Inadditiontothefactorsmentionedabove,thepropertiesofthealuminumsurfacealsoaffecttheadsorptionoflubricantadditives.Thesurfacetextureandchemicalcompositionofthealuminumstripcaninfluencetheadsorptionbehaviorofthelubricantadditives.Thesurfaceroughnessofthealuminumstripmayincreasetheadsorptionoflubricantadditivesduetotheincreasedcontactarea,whiletheoxidelayeronthesurfacemayhinderthediffusionoftheadditivesintothealuminumsurface.

Furthermore,theadsorptionbehavioroflubricantadditivescanalsoaffectthetribologicalpropertiesofthealuminumrollingprocess.Theadsorptionofadditivescanmodifythesurfacepropertiesofthealuminumstripandreducethefrictionbetweentherollandthealuminumstrip.However,excessiveadsorptionoflubricantadditivescanleadtosurfacecontaminationandaffectthesurfacequalityofthealuminumstrip.

Therefore,itisimportanttooptimizetheconcentrationandtypeoflubricantadditivestoachieveabalancebetweentheadsorptionandtribologicalpropertiesofthealuminumrollingprocess.Overall,thisstudyprovidesvaluableinsightsintotheadsorptioncharacteristicsoflubricantadditivesinthealuminumrollingprocess,andcanguidethedevelopmentofmoreeffectivelubricantadditivesforthisprocess.Apartfromsurfacetextureandchemicalcomposition,otherparametersalsoaffecttheadsorptionoflubricantadditives,suchastemperature,pressure,andpH.Theadsorptionbehavioroflubricantadditivesmaychangeatdifferenttemperaturesandpressures,whichcaninfluencethetribologicalpropertiesofthealuminumrollingprocess.

StudieshaveshownthatthepHofthelubricantsolutionaffectstheelectricalchargeandchemicalreactivityofthealuminumsurface,whichmayalsoinfluencetheadsorptionoflubricantadditives.ThepHshouldbeadjustedtoasuitablerangetoensureoptimaladsorptionandtribologicalproperties.

Moreover,thetypeandconcentrationoflubricantadditivesarecrucialfactorsthatcansignificantlyaffecttheadsorptionbehavioroflubricantsinthealuminumrollingprocess.Varioustypesofadditivesareavailable,suchaspolarandnon-polarlubricants,andtheireffectsontheadsorptionbehavioraredifferent.Forinstance,polaradditivestendtobondwiththealuminumsurface,whereasnon-polaradditivesmayweakenthebondingbetweentherollandthestrip.

Theconcentrationoflubricantadditivesalsoplaysacriticalroleintheadsorptionbehavior.Highconcentrationsofadditivescanleadtosurfacecontaminationandpoorsurfacequalityofthealuminumstrip.Therefore,itisessentialtooptimizetheconcentrationtoachieveabalancebetweentribologicalperformanceandsurfacequality.

Inconclusion,understandingtheadsorptionbehavioroflubricantadditivesinthealuminumrollingprocessiscrucialforoptimizingthetribologicalpropertiesandsurfacequalityofthealuminumstrip.Itrequiresacarefulselectionandadjustmentofvariousparameters,suchassurfacetexture,chemicalcomposition,temperature,pressure,pH,andconcentrationoflubricantadditives.Inadditiontotheparametersmentionedabove,thespeedoftherollingprocesscanalsoaffecttheadsorptionbehavioroflubricantadditives.Highrollingspeedscancauseareductioninthetimeforlubricantadditivestobondwiththealuminumsurface,resultinginaweakeradsorptionoftheadditives.Therefore,itisessentialtocontroltherollingspeedtoensureproperadsorptionofthelubricantadditivesandachievethedesiredtribologicalpropertiesandsurfacequalityofthealuminumstrip.

Furthermore,thedurabilityofthelubricantfilmisanothercriticalfactorthatcanimpacttheadsorptionbehavioroflubricantadditives.Thelubricantfilmshouldbeabletowithstandthehightemperatureandpressureofthealuminumrollingprocessandmaintainitsadsorptionpropertiesthroughouttherollingprocess.Thedurabilityofthelubricantfilmcanbeimprovedthroughtheuseofadditivesthatenhancethefilmstrengthandstability.

Lastly,thechoiceoflubricationmethodcanalsoaffecttheadsorptionbehavioroflubricantadditivesinthealuminumrollingprocess.Differentlubricationmethodssuc
