LessonTwoARaceWeCanAllWinAmericanNewspaperandmagazine美国报纸大体上可分为两种类型:1)通俗类小报,面向一般市民;为了迎合读者兴趣、追求轰动效应,忽视了社会责任,为了营利,对公益事业冷漠,对性、暴力、明星私生活尽情渲染,配以大量的图片。发行量虽大,但对重大问题却缺乏深远影响。2)严肃而高质量的大报,讲究质量,力求吸引知识界。销量不及小报,但影响却大。它们批评政府,监督官员,被誉为“民主制度的守护神”。美国多数大报有一个特点——维护国家利益,相对轻视党派利益,狠抓社论、采编和国际大事,对经济效益绝不忽视。1.TheNewYorkTimesThethreemostinfluentialnewspaperinAmerica:
