SimilartoMyelinatednervefibersinPNS;Noneurolemma,noincisuresofmyelin;DifferenceofmyelinatednervefiberinPNSandinCNS1.Themyelin-formingcellsinperipheralnervoussystemaretheSchwanncells,butinthecentralnervoussystemareoligodendrocytes.2.InPNS,oneSchwanncellformsoneinternodalsegment,butinCNSoneoligodendrocyteformsseveralinternodalsegments.3.InPNS,eachmyelinatedfiberisdelimitedbyabasallamina,andsuchfibersareseparatedfromeachotherbyconnectivetissueoftheendoneurium.However,intheCNS,thereisnobasallaminaorendoneuriumsurroundingmyelinatednervefibers.4.Mesaxonsarepresentinperipheralmyelinatednervefibers,butnotinthemyelinatednervefibersoftheCNS.Myelinsheathisformedbyprocessesofoligodendrocyteswhichcanformseveralinternode.3.Unmyelinatednervefibers
