3、llyindifficulteconomictimes,itiscriticalforcompaniestobecomemoreefficientineverysectoroftheirbusiness;humanresources(HR)isnoexception.HRISreferstosoftwarepackagesthataddressHRneedswithrespecttoplanning,employeeinformationaccess,andemployerregulatorycompliance.Thefollowingtextbeginswithadiscussionofh
4、umanresourceplanning,followedbyhumanresourcemanagementsystems.Americancompaniesmustnowoperateinarapidlychangingbusinessenvironment.ThesechangeshaveimportantimplicationsforHRMpractices.Toensurethatmanagementpracticessupportbusinessneeds,organizationsmustcontinuallymonitorchangingenvironmentalconditio
5、nsanddeviseHRMstrategiesfordealingwiththem.Theprocedureusedtotiehumanresourceissuestotheorganizationsbusinessneedsiscalledhumanresourceplanning.AlsoknownasHRplanning,thisprocedureisdefinedastheprocessofidentifyingandrespondingtoorganizationalneedsandchartingnewpolicies,systems,andprogramsthatwillass
6、ureeffectivehumanresourcemanagementunderchangingconditions.HumanResourceManagementSystems,alsocalledHumanResourcemodules,isalinkbetweenHumanresourcemanagementandinformationtechnology.AHumanresourcemanagementsystemprovidesasingle,accurateviewofallhumanresourceactivitiesincludingrecruiting,performance
7、management,traininganddevelopmentandalsocompensation.Humanresourcemanagementsystemsreducetheworkloadofthehumanresourcedepartmentaswellasincreasingtheefficiencyofthedepartmentbystandardizinghumanresourceprocess.Humanresourcedepartmentplaysanimportantroleinthesmoothrunningofthecompanybytrackingandanal
8、yzingthetimekeepingandworkpatternsoftheworkforce.Thereareawiderangeofapplicationsavailabletohelphumanresourcedepartmentintheirtasks,makingpossibletheautomationofcertaintasksandhelpingintheorganizationmanyothertasks.Thefunctionofhumanresourcemanagementtolargeextentisadministrativeandcommontoallorgani
