Girls in Shanghai can be witnessed to have the same street look as those in Paris and Milan; KF
9、C & Pizza Huts are popular in Bangkok as they are back in California; the amazing film 2012preemed internationally at the same moment. Tourist attractions, cannot escape from this sweeping trend. Therefore, it is quite normal to hear the comment from a tourist in Hong Kong, claiming that what he
10、/she has seen is just the same as in Tokyo.This phenomenon, to me, is a depressing one. People may have sacrificed too many of their culture identities for this. Culture is our ancestors most treasurable heritage that is supposed to be passed on from generation. It would be disastrous if people coul
11、d only recall those busy shopping streets instead of the traditional lanes and houses after their trip in Shanghai. And I remember how frustrated I was when I found most of the souvenirs in the Island Bali could be brought back Shanghai-those delicate wooden sculptures really seemed far less appeali
12、ng to me.To sum up, the trend of globalization is inevitable. I firmly take the opinion that both the local government and the public make coordinate efforts in protecting and preserving their unique cultural features. I believe the advantages international travelers bring to the countries they choose to visit outweigh the negatives.Unfortunately, all countries have within them peopl
15、e who exhibit undesirable behaviour. The vociferous minority seem to leave an impression in the minds of people in host counties. Whether it be leaving the hotel room in a complete mess, or loudly arguing about matter with a local person, international visitors are sometimes a poor advertisement for
16、 their counties. This is certainly the negative side of international visitors.However, the far greater impression international visitors leave is a good one. Typically, international visitors bring with them money which they inject into the local economy they are visiting which is excellent for bus
17、iness. They can also educate the local people about what life is like in other part of the world. These international travellers are like “ambassadors ” for their county and can cause others to want to visit their countrythis brings with its obvious economic benefits as well. In addition, internatio
18、nal visitors can help others to see things from a different perspective and, often, improve on the way things are down.Problems can arise from international visitors however, the benefits they bring to the countries thy visit are greater. International visitors around the world will continue to impa

However, before the cultural gap that exists between the home and foreign destination can be bridged and “hospitable tourism ” becomes a global practice, it always creates tension rather than understanding along the trip.Some

If traditional skills and lifestyles were not presented to visitors in an impressive way, they might soon be forgotten. However, in the meatime, this development can not be at the expense of destroying their own culture.In conclusion, traditions being use as attractions can conserve themselves as well as may lead to be damaged to some extent. 34、are and love for the nature. Environmental-friendly mindsets are no doubt very welcome in todays world which is characterized by all kinds of crisisincluding the energy one. Additionally, safety problems caused by travel-related crime are never concerned if international travel is no longer the choi
35、ce for a holiday plan. The above scenario seems quite pleasant. However, for that, a lot of fun is sacrificed. Watching “Travel Log” on travel channel can hardly of people something special about where the history happened, or the real thrilling taste on tongue from the local dishes. How can viewing
36、 plan metric scenes on mass media compete with standing on Catherine the Greats Doorstep at St. Petersburgs Winter Palace or walking all along the Great Wall in China? People learn the beauty of he world by experiencing them, dont they? Whats more, reducing international travel would adversely influ
37、ence regions and counties where tourism is the backbone industry. This revenue decrease could have lead to another inning of economic crisis in counties like Malaysia or Thailand, and inevitably, economy would be hindered on a global basis in todays globalized world. 38、vel is fairly important to both individuals life as the whole worlds economy. Is better not to spoil the ship for a half-penny-worth of tar. 39、ce the end of the Cold War era. Yet more negative comments can be heard about it now. Complaints about this industry are mostly concerned with the ecological damage it may cause such as trash on the streets and in the parks. However, promotion of ecotourism seems to have made international tourists
40、increasing aware of irresponsible, eco-unfriendly acts (e. g. , littering and have relieved the ecological side effects of international tourism effectively. As for the claim that tourism may result in travelers disrespect for the local culture, I seriously question its legitimacy. As we all probabl
41、y know, international travel is always a major investment-that is, the money, time and energy spent during an overseas trip amount to very high costs. I doubt that many people would like to pay such high costs for traveling to a place whose culture they dislike or even despise. On the other hand, th
42、e benefits that international tourism can yield are truly overwhelming. Cultural communication between countries has been strengthened as tourists can learn about the local culture and spread their own culture by interacting with the local residents during their trips, which surely promotes mutual u
43、nderstanding and friendship. International tourism can be economically beneficial as well because it contribute to local peoples incomes and the government revenue. Part of this money can then be used by the locals to protect the culture heritage such as ancient structures. In conclusion, it seems t
44、o me that the negative effect of international tourism can be reduced if the international tourists are better prepared for their overseas trips culturally. Some people think tourists should follow the behaviors and of the local people. To what extend do you agree? People still have mixed views abou
45、t whether tourists should follow the local customs and behaviors. Some people think that tourists should keep their own behavior and customs when they travel in other countries. In their view, tourists are consumers. Their trips will contribute much to the destination countries tourism industry, whi
46、ch spurs economic growth. Therefore, the tourists should be with respected and valued as customers. There is no need for them to follow the rules in the place that they visit. Further, it maybe highly inconvenient if tourists follow the behaviors and customers of the local residents as tourists tend
47、 to know little about foreign countrys customs before they say in this country for a while. Then how can the locals expect the tourists to behave like themselves? Many individuals strongly oppose with these attitude, though. They think if tourists do not follow the local way of life, they may make s
48、erious mistakes, which in turn may cause clashes between the guests and the hosts. For example, Asian tourists may make their waiters or waitresses very upset if they do not follow the age-old custom of tipping after they have meals in North American restaurants. As a matter of fact, if tourists fol
49、low the customers of local people, they get to really experience and understand different cultures, which is probably the primary intended goal of most overseas trips. My own view is, overall, travelers should honor and cherish the cultural identity of their destination while being expected to hold
