This unit is aboutordering food.My lesson is the listeningand speaking of this unit. By

3、 studying of this lesson, well enable the students to understand talks about restaurants and food. At the same time, Let the students learn how toorder food. If the Ss can learn it well, it will be helpful to make the Ss learn the rest of this unit In this lesson, the Ss learn many forms of entertai

4、nment. Therefore, this lesson plays an important part in the teaching material. Such a topic is related tightly/closely to their daily life and can raise effectively their learning interests. So learning it well can improve their listening ability and spoken English2. Teaching AimsAfter studying the

5、 teaching material and analyzing the mle of students9 growing of mind,! think the teaching aims are the followings:(1) Knowledge Aims:a) The Ss can understand personal information in a name card.b) The Ss can write personal information required in a name cardc) The Ss can make their own name card.(2

9、 the important points and break through the difficult points? I think analysis of Ss is very important.As we all know, students of vocational school are poor in learning English; Most of them dislike English, especially boys As for the learning methods, they are poor in cooperative learning skills.S

10、ome students are not active in the class My class is car repairing Most of boys dont like English. But they are interested in the topic about their major. Such a topic is related tightly/closely to their daily life and can raise effectively their learning interests.Purpose of design:对学生的现状有着准确的把握和分析

Teaching Methods:According to the analysis of the teaching material and the studentsj will use the following methods:a) CommunicativeApproach(交际教学法),Ss an opportunity to complete the tasks in which Ss use language to achieve a spe

12、cific outcome The activity reflects real life and learners focus on meaning, they are free to use any language they want.c) Situational TeachingApproach. It is a scene 一 activity teaching method .It establishes a real scene and theinteraction between the teacher and the Ss c) That is to say, Fll let

13、 the Ss to get a better understanding of the key structure of the dialogue According to the modern social communication teaching theories(现代社会交际教学理论)d) At the same time, Fll make use of the modem electricity teaching equipments and all kinds of teaching means, it can develop the Ss creativity in lea

14、rning English.e) That is to say, Fll let the Ss to get a better understanding of the key sentence patterns by practicing in pairs and in groups Ill give the Ss some tasks and arrange some kinds of activities in this lesson, such as listening, spoken English competition, watching small movies, and ma

15、king a survey.Purpose of desigmAs is known to us alLThe modem teaching demands the teacher should improve the students ability A good teaching method requires that the teacher should have the leading effects. So in in this lesson I 11 mainly use these teaching methods to let the students get a good

16、sense of the English language.2. Studying Methods:Our students are almost from the countryside. They are afraid of English. Therefore, I 41 have Ss study in a relaxed atmosphere. Ss understand the new knowledge in certain degree through the mental process of seeing, hearing, saying, observing, think

17、ing etc. And make preparation for completing the new study task.After feeling and understanding the language points, let Ss get the knowledge actively by probe study and cooperative study .In a word.weUla) .Let the Ss pass Observation一Imitation一Practice n 观察一模仿一 实践三步教学法 to study language.b) Make sit

18、uation and provide meaningful duty, encourage the students to study the text by themselvesc) .Teach the Ss how to master dialogues and how to communicate with others.The students are requested to study English creatively and independently. 19、he tasks and activities finished more easily.Part 4 Teaching ProcedureStep 1 Lead-in1) Brain storming: Let the Ss enjoy a movie taken from the rope skipping competition which is held in my school yesterday Then ask the following questions: What are they doing in the movie?Purpose of desi父n:I think m

20、ovie of the rope skipping competition which they took part in yesterday can attract the Ss attention and arouse their interest to talk about their own experience and forms of entertainment. The teacher can lead in the word studying naturally, at the same time the Ss can consolidate the leamt words a

21、nd phrasesStep 2Learning new words and phrases1. Presentation:Present the pictures/movies entertainment on the screen by using multimedia computer and answer the following questions: What is the girl/boy/ doing? What are they doing? Do you know other forms of entertainment?2. Pair works:Let Ss pract

22、ice the small dialogue according to these phrases. Do you like .? Why? “I like. because it is .”3. Ask the Ss to match the pictures with the correct phrases on page 68 of the book 34. Check the answers with the whole classPurpose of my design:Presenting the new words and phrases about forms of enteH

23、ainment by CAI is much easier for the Ss to leam and prasp the meanings CAI can provide a real situation with its sound and picture and it makes the relationships between the Ss bette匚 Pair works can consolidate the new learnt phrases and cultivate the Ss, communicative competence.Step 3 Pre-listeni

24、ngBefore listening, the Ss are required to answer the question Do you know whats my favorite enteitaiiiment?, I want them to guess and consolidate the forms of entertainment. Because the listening material about storytelling is difficult for the Ss, I ask the Ss to enjoy the movie of the storytellin

25、g which is about ShaoLin and Wudang, and then let the Ss discuss about the storytelling. And then I ask the students to discuss about it and deal with the difficult language points, such as comment on, t characters, is adapted fromPurpose of my desizninto make the Ss understand the listening materia

26、l more easily and deal with the difficult language points.Step 4 ListeningLet the Ss listen the passage of storytelling Pay attention to their pronunciation and intonation. And then check the answers with the Ss. Step 5 Post-listening1. After listening, the Ss are asked to answer the question44Do yo

27、u like stoiytelling? Why?, 2. Guess the riddle. The teacher say: Everyone has their favorite entertainment, my friend Jim, spend all his pocket money, even save his lunch money to buy stamps, (show pictures of stamps on the screen)Can you guess whats my friend Jims favorite entertaimnent?Purpose of

28、my desi父nin父:to make the Ss understand the listening material more easily.Step 6 Listening Let the Ss listen the passage of collecting stamps. Pay attention to their pronunciation and intonation. If necessary, let the Ss listen to the key sentence twice. (Use software to select the difficult sentenc

29、e from the listening passage before the class). And then check the answers with the Ss and show the answers on the screen.Step 7 Post-listening After listening, the Ss are asked to answer the following questions/Do you like collecting stamps? Why?If you dont like collecting stamps, what do you do in

30、 your spare time?,Purpose of my designing: to arouse the Ss,interest to express their favorite entertainment easily.Step 8 Listen and imitate1. At first, I will let the Ss enjoy a movie about Li Yang Crazily Speak English. And then encourage them to practice the sentence Are you sure you can make it

31、? Pm sure I can make itl as quickly as possible, as clearly as possible, as loudly as possible by imitate the pronunciation way of Li Yang Crazily Speak English2. I will show slides about the six important sentence patterns on the screen and let Ss listen to and imitate these sentences3 Competition:

32、 After listening, the Ss are asked to imitate these sentences by imitate the pronunciation way of Li Yang Crazily Speak English Different Ss can choose different tasks Everyone can take part in the lesson easily. The Ss even can PK in pairs or groups. The one who can read or recite as many sentences

33、 as possible without changing breath can be the number one. Purpose of my desi父Hing: to make the Ss form correct pronunciation way by using the “Aiidio-visuaFteaching method and“Task-basedreaching method In this way, the Ss are hill of self-confidence and eager to show off what their have leamt. 34、also helps fo cultivate their team spirit.Step 9 survey and summaryInterview your classmates or our teachers here by using the following questions: what do you do in you spare time? Wliy? If not, whats your favorite entertainment? And then ask some Ss to give reports to us. Purpose of my designing:

35、I think survey is so important that the Ss should speak English as much as they can in class or after class It is necessary for the Ss to investigate the others to consolidate the knowledge they learnedPart 7: Blackboard designPart 8Teaching ReflectionSelf-reflection In this lesson, I mainly adopt t

36、he Task-Based Learning Method. Try to have students learn by guessing, by having a competition, by investigation. I design many various activities that close to students Uife so as to help students solve the difficulties and important points. I also arrange individual work, pair work, and group work

37、 for students to practice English I think if I want the student to improve their oral English, I must give them more chances to practice That is Learning by doing, Learning by using ” In this case, I designed tasks according to theNew English Curriculum Criterion,I will lead my students to study and cooperate with each other.
