3、ok 2.The main topic is “ abilitiesandjoining a club ” which is close to thestudentsdaily life. The usage of the modal verb can“”is main point of the lesson. Through this lesson , students can talk about their abilities freely.Secondly, analysis of the students, as for the students of Grade 7, they h
4、ave the basic ability of English study, and they have learned the what question last semester. They are curious about new knowledge, most of them are very cooperative, but too shy to express themselves in English.Thirdly, analysis of the teaching aims.1.Knowledge objectsStudents can grasp the new wo
5、rds, phrases and the usage of modal verb “ can”.Students' listening and speaking ability can be improved after class. They can apply these words into the sentence pattern by repeated practice and learn to talk about their abilities freely in English.2. Ability objects(1)To develop the students a
6、bilities of listening, speaking.(2)To train the students ability of working in pairs.(3) To develop the students abilities of communication by learning the useful structures. 3. Moral objects(1) Through different teaching methods to make students be interested in study.(2) Love to know more knowledg

9、he most important part of this lesson: the analysis of the teachingprocedures.Step1: Lead-in.At the beginning of this lesson, after greetings , I will invite some students to give us the talentshow to encourage them to learn some talents. Then, elicit the title“Unit 1 Can you play theguitar ? ”Step
10、2: presentationNow, let s focus on TaskLearn1the new words and phrases. I will use the PPT to show somepictures of abilities, which I took from their daily life. Now elicit the new words: guitar, play theguitar, swim, playchess, tell story, speak English, and so on. After that I will give the studen
11、ts 2minutes to remember the new words and phrases and have a memory competition, which is aneffective way of learning. Then finish 1 a.Task 2 Learn the new structuresI will use the pictures of myselfto ask students“ Look, I can play chess,anyou play chess ”lead them to say“ Yes, I can.” Or“ No,ThenI
12、canuseanother.” picture “I can swim, Can sheswim?” “ Yes,she can. No, she can t.”Then use another picture“I can run, Can they run?”“ Yes,they can. No, they can t.Then” practice these sentences in pair. To practice more, I will invite one student to stand in front of the class, he can choose one card
13、 without looking at it, the others will ask “what can you do?”he will guess the answer. The class atmosphere can be activated by the game. Then finish 1b.Now the students can master the sentences. So, I will give them some tips and 3 minutes to discuss in groups, try to find the usage of “ can”by co
