Teaching plan School Shanghai Pengzhen School Teacher 戴叶姣 Material Oxford English 6A Unit 4 Topic What would you like to be Class profile 学情分析学情分析 There are 40 students aged from 12 to 13 in this class They like working with others and they always have some group activities in class especially group discussions and group competitions Most of the students are interested and active in English learning and they are willing to speaking English About 1 3 students English ability is a little higher than the others Teaching material analysis 教材分析教材分析 The main content of this page is about jobs and preferences and trying to give reasons for preferences Learning objectives 学习目标学习目标 By the end of this lesson the students will have 1 Learned and used some new words e g secretary dentist fireman 2 Improved their listening skills for specific information 3 Maintain an interaction by replying asking questions explaining and using formulaic expressions where appropriate Teaching Aids Multimedia blackboard etc Teaching Methods 1 Situational and Communicative Language Teaching 2 Task based approach Teaching procedures Procedure Contents Activities Purposes 1 Warming up 1 Greet the students and have a daily talk All the students listen and answer the questions Arouse Sts interest and lead in the topic 2 Pre task preparation Ask the students to brainstorm What job do you know Sts think and say out the jobs as much as possible Make the Sts recall the information about jobs they have learnt 3 While task procedure 1 Show same pictures and ask Sts to read these jobs 2 Ask the Sts to guess What job is it 3 Read these phrases and tell what job it is Read after the tape again and again Sts watch the video and listen then try to say out the jobs Read the phrases and try to remember them Help the Sts learn the new words Help Sts practice the new words and some other words Help Sts develop their skills from words to phrases and sentences 4 Post task activities 1 Have the Sts Listen and Students listen and number Develop the Sts listening ability find out the answers 2 Let the Sts ask and answer according to the pattern and the pictures Students work in pairs and do ask and answer one after another and recall the jobs again Make sure most of the students get the detailed information of jobs 5 Homework1 copy and recite the new words and phrases 2 workbook pa
