典范英语典范英语原名牛津阅读树（Oxford Reading Tree），是英国牛津大学出版社出版的一套家喻户晓的英语教材。英国80%的学校用它教学生学习母语，全球133个国家也在使用这套教材。典范英语（1-5）从中精选出261个最有趣的故事，经过精心编辑而成，供我国小学生学习英语之用。一套英国孩子学习母语的教材拿来给中国孩子用，这样做合适吗？我们的回答是：合适。而且我们认为，只有学这样的英语，孩子们才会学得开心，学得轻松，学得地道，学得有效。儿童学习语言，选用什么样的语言材料作为教材，关乎孩子语言素质的发展。无论母语教材还是外语教材，首先要保证语言纯正地道。典范英语（1-5）来自英国本土，语言鲜活纯正，原汁原味，由浅入深，中国孩子完全可以学得来，学了可以享用终生。在学习语言的关键期，能和英国孩子念一样的英语，我们的孩子是多么幸运！好的儿童语言教材，除了语言纯正地道之外，还要看内容能否吸引孩子。典范英语（1-5）基于孩子的生活体验和心理特点，精心编织了几百个引人入胜的故事，个个生动有趣，人物活灵活现，可爱至极，完全是一片孩子的生活乐园和精神天地。读这样的故事，学这样的英语，能使孩子们的心智和品格都受益。反观那些句句符合语法，“有句无文，有文无情”的课文，干瘪乏味，缺乏心智上的启迪，早已倒掉了孩子们的胃口。有了好的教材就能保证孩子学好英语吗？不完全是。还要看如何用好这套教材。首先，要有正确的认识。研究表明，12岁以前是学习语言的关键期。孩子学习一门语言，越早接触越好，这对习得地道的口音尤为重要。经验表明，孩子置身某种语言环境，他会自然习得这种语言，这是孩子的天性。在中国学英语没有这样的语言环境怎么办？教孩子系统地听、念英国同龄儿童喜欢的故事，就等于给他提供了一个全英语的环境。听得多了，孩子可以做到用英语“见什么人说什么话”；念得多了，还可以做到“知书达理”。千万不要低估孩子的语言潜能。“喂”什么英语，就能“长出”什么英语，而且是“不知不觉地”长，“自然地”长。在成人看来，学好英语是件很难的事情，孩子却能轻易学得。除年龄因素外，成人学英语往往功利性强，多是用来应付考试，不是用来学说话，启心智，难怪久学不得。其次，要掌握正确的方法。典范英语（1-5）的每篇课文都是一个完整的故事，图文并茂，且配有英国专家朗读的声音材料。孩子喜欢听故事，看故事，尤其是带图的故事。学习初期，先带孩子一起看图，大致理解故事内容之后，再让孩子听录音，看看故事用英语怎么讲。然后，带孩子朗读，直到读熟为止。有了一定基础之后，可让孩子学用英语复述故事。这时你会发现，孩子的英语可能比你自己讲得还要地道。读讲的同时，再把故事中的关键词写一写，记一记，日积月累，孩子会逐渐掌握英语的拼读规律，学会拼读不认识的单词。学久了，说不定还能用英文写出个故事来。到那时，孩子就是个有英语文化的人了。第三，要有持久的耐心和热情。教孩子学会读书识字，尤其是读外国书，识外国字，不能心血来潮，一曝十寒，也不能操之过急。尤其是在初始阶段，需要老师和家长耐心地引导和启发，把培养孩子的兴趣放在第一位。让孩子养成良好的读书习惯，学会和故事中的人物对话，学会感悟言语世界的奥秘，是奠定孩子语言根基和文化素养的重要法宝。对于老师，建议充分利用好课堂时间教会孩子正确朗读每个故事，理解故事的内容。教会孩子读书是语言教师的第一要务。对于家长，饭前饭后，窗前灯下，春晨秋夕，每天也要坚持花10分钟和孩子一起读一个英文故事。两代人共读一个故事，心灵在书中交汇，情感在书中融合，这是父母和孩子最温馨的事了。这种交流，会影响孩子的一生。典范英语（1-5）共分五级，每级两册，适合我国小学生使用。实验表明，坚持每天熟读一个故事，一年下来，孩子独立阅读英语的能力就会基本形成。两到三年学完，也是了不起的成就！laLesson
