She couldnt stand this so she only fed on some fast food. (humorous),Concluding Part,What I had interpreted as a malicious attempt to embarrass a naive freshman had been merely a moment of college fun. Interpret: v. understand Malicious: a. having the nature to hurt others; malice: n. ill-will Her misunderstanding/ misinterpretation (reason),Popularity was not so important; running with the crowd was no longer a law of survival. Going with the tide of the majority was no longer very important to your success in college. That is to say: it didnt matter whether or not you were widely accepted or admired. You did not need to behave as others did.,This was my big chance to do my own thing, be my own womanif I could get past my preoccupation with doing everything perfectly. Preoccupation: n. absorption of the attention or intellect. ( with) As long as I could overcome my attempt to be perfect in everything, I would well be able to do what I wanted as I was comfortable with.,Once I recognized that I had no ones expectation to live up to but my own, I relaxed.
