3、 WordWord is the word processing program of the Microsoft Office suite that allows you to create documents and reports.(4) MenusWhen you begin to explore Word 2003, you will notice a significant change in the menu structure if you are familiar with previous versions of Word. The menus in Word 2003 d
4、isplay only the commands you have recently used. To view all options in each menu, you must click the double arrows at the bottom of the menu. The format menu will expand after the double arrows at the bottom of the menu were clicked.,(5) Shortcut MenusThese features allow you to access various word
5、 commands faster than using the options on the menu bar. View shortcut menus by right-clicking with the mouse. The options on this menu show in Fig.11-3 will vary depending on the element that was right-clicking with the mouse. The shortcut menus are helpful because they only display the options tha
6、t can be applied to the item that was right-clicked and therefore, prevent searching through the many menu options.,Fig.11-3 Shortcut Menus,(6) ToolbarsMany toolbars displaying shortcut buttons are also available to make editing and formatting quicker and easier. Select ViewToolbars from the menu ba

8、xcel Excel lets you develop spreadsheets that display data in various tabular and visual formats. Excel allows you to create spreadsheets much like paper ledgers that can perform automatic calculations. Each Excel file is a workbook that can hold many worksheets. The worksheet is a grid of columns a
9、nd rows. The intersection of a column and a row is called a cell. Cells can contain either text, numbers, or mathematical formulas.,(3) Adding and Renaming WorksheetsThe worksheets in a workbook are accessible by clicking the worksheet tabs just above the status bar. By default, three worksheets are
10、 included in each workbook. To add a sheet, select Insert Worksheet from the menu bar. To rename the worksheet tab, right-click on the tab with the mouse and select Rename from the shortcut menu. Type the new name and press the ENTER key.,PowerPoint creates multimedia presentations to display inform
