过去分词作状语时,过去分词所表示的动作与句子主语之间通常构成逻辑上的动宾关系。 现在分词作状语时,现在分词所表示的动作与句子主语之间构成逻辑上的主谓关系。☞Givenmoreattention,thetreescouldhavegrownbetter.如果对这些树多关心一些,它们本来会长得更好。☞Notknowingwhattodo,hewenttohisparentsforhelp.由于不知如何办是好,他去找父母帮忙。2.现在分词与过去分词作状语在"时间"方面的差异: (2023·江苏省连云港市调研)However,withChinesewriting______(become)increasinglystandardizedandsimplified,itbecameatraditiontouseXiaozhuanforseals.03动词ing作主语、宾语和表语I.作宾语1)一些动词后只能跟动名词作宾语。☞Iwouldappreciateyourcallingbackthisafternoon.今天下午如果你能给我回电话,我将非常感激。☛Maryisconsideringchangingherjob.玛丽正在考虑换工作。巧记跟动名词的动词:考虑建议盼原谅,承认推迟没得想;避免错过继续练,否认完成就欣赏;禁止想象才冒险,不禁介意准逃亡consider,suggest/advise,lookforwardto,excuse/pardon,admit,delay/putoff,fancy;avoid,miss,keep/keepon,practice,deny,finish,enjoy/appreciate;forbid,imagine,risk,can’thelp,mind,allow/permit,escape.2)一些动词既能跟不定式又能跟V-ing作宾语1.(1)forgettodosth.忘记去做某事(未做)forgetdoingsth.忘记做过某事(已做)(2)remembertodosth.记着去做某事rememberdoingsth.记得做过某事(3)stoptodosth.停下来去做另一件事stopdoingsth.停止做某事(4)regrettodosth.对尚未做的或正在做的事情表示遗憾;regretdoingsth对已做的事情表示后悔(5)meantodosth.打算、意欲做某事meandoingsth.意味着做某事(6)can’thelptodo(不能帮忙做…)can’thelpdoing(禁不住做…)can'thelpbutdosth忍不住做某事,不禁做某事,不得不干…☛IforgottoclosethedoorbeforeIlefttheroom. 在我离开房间前,忘记关门。☛Iforgothavingclosedthedoor. 我忘记关门。☞Ididn’tmeantohurtyou.我本无意伤害你。☞Doingmorningexercisesmeansgettingupearly.做早操意味着早起床。动词作介词的宾语时,要用动名词形式,不能用动词不定式。常见的含有介词的动词短语:be/getusedto(习惯于),feellike(想要),insiston(坚持),getdownto(开始认真做某事),devote...to...(致力于……),objectto(反对),stickto(坚持),giveup(放弃)等。此外,介词后跟动名词的结构:havedifficulty/trouble(in)doingsth.;havefun(in)doingsth.It’squitehottoday.Doyoufeellikegoingforaswim?今天很热。你想去游泳吗?IhadasmuchfunsailingtheseasasInowdoworkingwithstudents.我现在与学生们打交道和我过去航海一样开心。(1)当非谓语动词位于介词but,except后时,习惯上要用不定式。并且,当其前有实义动词do及相关形式时,则不定式要省略to;若其前没有动词do,则不定式通常带to。Wehadnochoicebuttowait.我们除了等待之外别无选择。Icoulddonothingexceptagree.我除了同意,什么都做不了。(2)but后总跟省略不定式符号to的短语:donothingbut...只能……;cannothelpbut...禁不住……;cannotbut...不得不……;cannotchoosebut...只得……II.作主语1.谓语动词应用第三人称单数。Seeingisbelieving. 眼见为实。下列句型中常用动名词作主语:☞It’snousecomplainingwithouttakingaction.不采取行动只是抱怨是没有用的。3.作主语动名词与不定式的区别:①动名词作主语表示抽象的动作,不与特定的动作执行者有关;不定式作主语表示具体的动作或行为,与特定的动作执行者有关。☛Herealizedthattogoonlikethiswasnouse.(具体) 他意识到像这样继续没用。☛It’snousecryingoversplitmilk.(抽象) 因抛洒的牛奶哭泣没用。III作表语(1)V-ing作表语用来解释说明主语的内容。☛Theirjobisbuildinghouses. 他们的工作是建房子。(2)V-ing与不定式作表语的区别:V-ing作表语表示抽象的行为,习惯;不定式作表语表示具体的特别是动作。☛Myfavouritesportisswimming. 乱叫的狗不咬人。但某些V-ing(如concerned关切的/有关的,used旧的/用过的,given特定的/给予的,involved复杂的/涉及的)置于名词前后其意义不同。☛aconcernedlook/thestudentsconcerned/☛ausedcar/thetextbookused.2.V-ing作定语,分词应放在被修饰的名词之后;表示正在进行的动作时,变为从句时要用进行时态和表示经常性的动作或现在的状态时,变为从句时要用一般时态;同被修辞的词(先行词)有逻辑上的主谓关系,在意义上相当于一个主动语态的定语从句。☛Whoisthemanstanding(=whoisstanding)bythedoor? 站在门边的人是谁。☛Theybuiltahighwayleading(=that/whichleads)intothemountains. 一条通往山里的高速路。3.V-ing作定语时,分词应放在被修饰的名词之后;表示的动作发生在谓语动作之前/不确定;同被修辞的词(先行词)有逻辑上的动宾关系,在意义上相当于一个被动语态的定语从句。☛Themeetingheld(=that/whichwasheld)lastweekisveryimportant.上周举行的回忆是非常重要的。4.其他应注意:①若表示的动作此刻正在进行或同时进行,可用被动语态的进行时态(现在分词的被动语态)表示。☛Wemustkeepasecretofthethingsbeingdiscussedhere. 我们必须保守正在讨论的事情。②若表示的是一个未来的动作,可用不定式的被动语态表示。Pleasetellmethesubjectstobediscussedatthenextmeeting. 请告诉我在下次会议上讨论的主题。③V-ing还可作非限制性定语(相当于非限制性定语从句),此时须和句子的其他部分用逗号隔开,试比较:☛AllmybrotherslivinginShanghaiarescientists.=Allmybrothers,livinginShanghai,arescientists.居住在上海的所有兄弟是科学家。
