1.以上所有例句皆为主从复合句,句中用了相当于名词作用的从句(即名词性从句)在句中充当成分。

2.例句1为what引导的主语从句。例句2中it为形式主语,真正的主语为后面that引导的主语从句。

3.例句3为why引导的表语从句。

4.例句4为that引导的宾语从句。例句5中it为形式宾语,真正的宾语为后面that引导的宾语从句。

5.例句6为that引导的同位语从句。

名词性从句是在句子中起名词作用的句子。名词性从句的功能相当于名词词组,它在复合句中能担任

主语、宾语、表语、同位语等,因此根据它在句中不同的语法功能,名词性从句又可分别称为主语从句、

宾语从句、表语从句和同位语从句。

一、名词性从句的连接词

引导名词性从句的连接词有三个连词、五个连接代词、四个连接副词。

二、主语从句

主语从句是指在句中作主语的从句,位置与陈述句的主语相同。

Whatisnottooursatisfactionisthatthepriceofthemealisalittletoohigh.

我们不满意的是饭菜的价格稍微有点高。

Howthebookwillselldependsonitsauthor.

这本书如何销售取决于作者本人。

1.that引导主语从句,在从句中不充当任何成分,仅起连接作用,但不可省略。

Thatyouwillwinthemedalseemsunlikely.

你想获得奖牌看起来是不可能的。

2.whether引导的主语从句既可放在句首也可放在句尾,但if引导的主语从句只能放在句尾,前面需

要用it作形式主语。

Whetherthesportsmeetingwillbeheldisnotcertainnow.

运动会是否将举行现在不能确定。

Whethertheworkcanbecompletedontimeisdoubtful.

3.若主语部分结构较长,可以使用形式主语it,把真正的主语从句放于后面。

三、宾语从句

在主从复合句中作宾语的从句叫宾语从句。宾语从句在句中可以作及物动词、介词或一些形容词的宾

语。

Everyoneknowsthattheearthismadeupofmatter.

每个人都知道地球是由物质构成的。

Idoubtwhetherhewillbeelectedaschairman.

我怀疑他是否会当选为主席。

Thesetwoareasaresimilarinthattheybothhavehighrainfallinsummer.

这两个地区相似,因为在夏天降水都很多。

I'mnotcertainwhetherthetrainwillarriveontime.

我不确信火车是否将会按时到达。

Lthat引导宾语从句,既无语法功能,也无词汇意义,常被省略。但多个并列从句出现时,第一个that

可以省略,其他的不能省略。

Shesaid(that)shewouldcomehereandthatIshouldwaitforhertillMonday.

她说她将会来这儿并让我等到星期一。

2.if和whether引导宾语从句的区别:

①在动词不定式之前只能用whethero

②在whether...ornot的固定搭配中,只用whether0

③在介词后,只能用whethero

④作discuss的宾语时,只能用whethero

⑤宾语从句放在句首表示强调时,只能用whethero

3.带复合宾语(宾语+宾语补足语)的句子,that引导的宾语从句经常移到句子后面,而用it作形式宾

语。

4.表示喜欢、憎恶等心理活动的动词后习惯上先加个形式宾语it,再接宾语从句。例如:hate,dislike,

love,don'tmind,feellike,appreciate,relyon,counton,seeto等。

Wethinkitpossiblethatyoucanfinishtheworktoday.我们认为你今天能够完成这项工作。

5.宾语从句的否定转移:think,believe,suppose,imagine等动词后的宾语从句中的否定词要转移到

主句中,即主句的谓语动词用否定式,而从句的谓语动词用肯定式。

我想我们不必在这上面浪费太多时间。(形式上否定)

四、表语从句

表语从句在复合句中作表语,出现在连系动词之后,一般结构为“主语+连系动词+表语从句”。可接表

语从句的连系动词有be,look,remain,seem等。

问题在于我们是否能及时完成这项工作。

Lthat在引导表语从句时无词义,在从句中不充当任何成分,仅起连接作用,不可以省略。

Thefactremainsthatwearestillnotadvancedenough.

2.whether可引导表语从句,但if却通常不用于引导表语从句。

3.引导表语从句的引导词还可用because,asif,asthough,as。

五、同位语从句

在复合句中用作同位语的从句叫同位语从句。它一般跟在某个名词后面,用来说明前面名词的具体内

容。常见的这类名词有:fact,news,hope,truth,idea,suggestion,thought,question,promise,order,

problem,belief,word,message,information,proof,announcement,desire,doubt,proposal,advice,possibility

等。

他被北京大学录取了的消息真是令人激动。

谁应当做这份工作,这个问题需要考虑。

一、主语从句

在复合句中充当主句主语的从句叫作主语从句。主语从句的常见引导词有:

(1)从属连词:that,whether,if

(2)连接代词:what,which,who,whose,whom,whatever,whichever,whoever,whomever

(3)连接副词:how,when,where,why,however,whenever,wherever

特别提醒:

在通常情况下,that引导主语从句时,常用it作形式主语,而将that从句置于句尾。用it作形式主语通常有

以下四种句型:

⑴It+be+形容词+从句:

Itisnecessarythat...有必要...

Itisimportantthat...重要的是...

Itisobviousthat...很明显...

(2)It+be+过去分词+从句:

Itisbelievedthat...人们相信...

二.同位语从句

同位语从句一般用that引导,但根据语境的不同,也可以用其他的连接代词和连接副词。引导同位语从句的that

不能省略。跟在抽象有内涵名词fact,idea,news,hope,belief,thought,truth,doubt,suggestion,warning,

instruction,reason,information,question等之后。有时从句会与被说明的名词隔开。

特别提醒

连词whether和if在名词性从句中的使用

1.用whether或if均可的情况

⑴whether可引导各种名词性从句。引导大部分动词后的宾语从句时,两者均可。

(2)it作形式主语,且主语从句在句末时,两者均可引导主语从句。

2.用whether而不用if的情况

(1)主语从句和宾语从句置于句首

三.宾语从句

1)可作动词、介词和形容词宾语

Iassureyouthatyou'remistaken.

Theshopkeeperdidnotwanttosellforwhathethoughtwasnotenough.

I'mafraidthatFvemadeamistake.

2)it作形式宾语

make/find/consider/think/feel...it+adj+从句;seetoitthat,takeitforgrantedthat...

3)宾语从句中的虚拟

在动词“-1坚持二命令四建议五要求“:insist,order,command,suggest,advise,propose,recommend,ask,

require,desire,demand,request等词后的宾语从句中,不论主句谓语动词用何时态,宾语从句中的动词一律

用“(should)+动词原形

特别提醒

宾语从句的时态。一般情况下,宾语从句须与主句的时态保持一致,即当主句是一般现在时时,从句可根

据具体情况选用合适的时态;当主句为过去的某种时态时,从句须用相应的过去的某种时态。当从句的内

容为真理或客观事实时,须用一般现在时。

四.表语从句

在复合句中充当表语的从句叫作表语从句,可接表语从句的连系动词有be,seem,look,sound,taste,feel,

remain,appear等。表语从句的常见引导词有:

(1)从属连词:that,whether

(2)连接代词:what,which,who,whose,whom,whatever,whichever,whoever,whomever

(3)连接副词:how,when,where,why

特别提醒

几种特殊的表语从句

(1)asif/though引导的表语从句

此类表语从句常出现在seem,look,sound,taste,feel,appear等连系动词后,从句可用陈述语气,也可用虚拟

语气。

⑵because和why引导的表语从句

此类表语从句常用于以下句型:

this/thatiswhy...这/那是...的原因

this/thatisbecause...这/那是因为...

注意:主句主语是reason时,表语从句一般由that引导,而不用because或why。

Thereasonforyesterday'saccidentisthatthedriverwasdrunk.

[难点一]连接词

当名词性从句主干齐全,又不缺少状语时,用连接词引导。连接词有that,whether和if。

l.that引导的名词性从句that连接名词性从句,只起连接作用,不在从句中作成分。引导宾语从句时有时可

以省略,引导主语从句,表语从句和同位语从句时不能省略。

Theteacherinformedus(that)wewouldhaveatestthenextday.

老师告知我们第二天进行测试。

Hisplanisthatheisgoingtobuyanewcarnextyear.

他的计划是明年买辆新车。

2.whether与if引导的名词性从句

(l)whether引导的主语从句既可放在句首也可放在句末,但if引导的主语从句只能放在句末,且前面需用it

作形式主语。

Whetheritistrueremainsaquestion.这是否是真的依然是个问题。

Itisunknownifhewillattendthemeeting.他是否会来参加会议还不清楚。

(2)whether与if引导宾语从句时,大多数情况下可以互换,后面直接跟ornot时用whether用于介词后引导

宾语从句时也用whethero

Wedon'tknowwhetherornotshewasready.我们不知道她是否准备好了。

(3)whether可引导表语从句和同位语从句,而if则不可以。

1.连接代词引导的名词性从句

连接代词who,whom,whose,what,which等不但起连接作用,也在从句中作名词或代词所作的成分,如主语、

表语、宾语、定语等。缺少连接代词,从句不完整。

2.连接副词引导的名词性从句

连接副词when,where,why,how等不但起连接作用,也在从句中作状语,表示时间、地点、原因和方式等。

3.“疑问词+-ever”引导的名词性从句

“疑问词+-ever”引导名词性从句时,有词意,并且在从句中充当一定的句子成分。
