flowmonitoringandmeasuringdevicesuchasflowmeterorflowswitch
2.0.2flowmeter
deviceformonitoringthefluidflowvaluewithinthepipe.Theflowmeterscanbeclassifiedinto
electromagneticflowmeter,ultrasonicflowmeter,mechanicalflowmeter,differentialpressure
flowmeter,etc.dependingonthemeasuringmode;andcanbeclassifiedintoplug-inflowmeter,
flange-connectedflowmeter,etc.dependingontheinstallationmode
2.0.3flowswitch
componentformonitoringtheflowvalueandcomparingwithsetvalue,whichcanoutputsignals
whentheflowishigherorlowerthanacertainsetvalue.Flowswitchcanbeclassifiedinto
thermalflowswitch,mechanicalflowswitch,etc.

3GeneralRequirementsofFlowMonitoringandMeasuring
3.0.1Thefunctionsofmonitoringandmeasuringofeachpartshallmeetthefollowing
requirements:
1Theflowcomponentsshallbemountedinthecoolingwatermainoutletpipesfor
turbine-generatorunitandmaintransformerrespectively,whichshallmonitortheflowof
thepointandoutputtheanalogsignalordigitalsignal.
2Theflowcomponentsshouldbemountedatpumpoutlet,whichoutputtheswitching
signal,switchingplusanalogsignals,orswitchingplusdigitalsignals.
3Theflowcomponentsshallbemountedincooleroutletpipeandmainfirefightingpipe,
whichoutputtheswitchingsignal,switchingplusanalogsignals,orswitchingplusdigital
signals.
4Theflowcomponentsshallbemountedinthewatersupplypipesformainshaftsealand
labyrinthring,whichoutputtheswitchingsignal,switchingplusanalogsignals,or
switchingplusdigitalsignals.
5Theflowcomponentsshallbemountedinthewatersupplypipeforequipmentlubrication,
whichoutputtheswitchingsignal,switchingplusanalogsignals,orswitchingplusdigital
signals.
6Theflowcomponentsshallbemountedintheoilpipeforexternalcirculationsystem,
whichoutputtheswitchingsignal,switchingplusanalogsignals,orswitchingplusdigital
signals.
3.0.2Thealarmvalueandshutdownvalueofflowmonitoringandmeasuringshouldmeetthe
followingrequirements:
1Thelowalarmvalueofwaterflowineachcooleroutletpipeshouldbedeterminedby
equipmentmanufacturer,andshouldnotbelessthan70%ofthedesignflowifnot
specifiedbythemanufacturer.
2Thelowalarmvalueofwaterflowatpumpoutletpipeshouldnotbelessthan70%ofthe
designflow.
3Thelowalarmvalueandshutdownvalueofoilpipeinbearinglubricationpipefor
tubularunitshouldbedeterminedbyequipmentmanufacturer,Ifnotspecifiedbythe
manufacturer,thelowalarmvalueshouldnotbelessthan70%ofthedesignvalueand
theshutdownvalueshouldnotbelessthan50%ofthedesignvalue.
4Thelowalarmvalueandshutdownvalueofwatersupplyflowformainshaftsealshould
bedeterminedbyequipmentmanufacturer.Ifnotspecifiedbythemanufacturer,thelow
alarmvalueshouldnotbelessthan70%ofthedesignvalue,andtheshutdownvalue
shouldnotbelessthan50%ofthedesignvalue.
3.0.3Theswitchingsignal,analogsignalordigitalsignaloutputtedbyflowcomponentsshall

meettherequirementsofdataacquisitionbymonitoringandcontrolsystem.
3.0.4Theenvironmentinwhichtheflowcomponentsrunforlong-termshallcomplywiththe
currentsectorstandardDL/T1107,BasicSpecificationsofAutomaticComponentsfor
HydropowerPlant.

5SelectionofFlowComponents
5.0.1Themechanicalflowmetermountedinoilsystempipeshouldbeequippedwithglass.The
flowmetermountedinoilpipeofexternalcirculationsystemformaintransformershallbe
anti-explosiontype.
5.0.2Theflowcomponentsshallmeetthefollowingbasictechnicalrequirements:
1Theflowcomponentsshallworkreliablywithstableperformanceandsimplestructure,
andbeeasyforinstallation,commissioningandmaintenance.
2Alarmsignalshallbesentoutwhentherateofflowenclosedinthepipereachesthe
presetvalue,andthepermissibleerrorbandis±5%.
3Thealarmvalueofflowshouldbeadjustablefrom25%to100%ofthefullscope.
4Theanalogoutputshouldbe4mAto20mA,andthesignalshouldbecurrenttype.
5.0.3Theelectromagneticflowmetershallmeetthefollowingrequirements:
1Theflowmetershallbeequippedwithdevicetodisplayinstantaneousflowrateand
accumulativeflowvolumelocally.
2Theflowmetershouldbeabletooutput4mAto20mAanalogsignalandtwoswitching
signals.
3Themeasurementaccuracyshouldnotbelowerthan2.5%offullscope.
4Themeasurementflowvelocityshallbe0m/sto8m/s.
5TheapplicablepipediametershouldbeDN25toDN1000.
6Thepowersupplyshouldbe24VDCor220VAC.
5.0.4Themechanicalflowmetershallmeetthefollowingrequirements:
1Thepressurelossshallbelessthan0.1m.
2Theflowmetershouldbeflange-connectedandbeeasyfordisassemblyandclean,and
canbeequippedwithaglass.
3Theflowmetershouldbeabletooutput4mAto20mAanalogsignalandtwoswitching
signals.
4Theoutputswitchingsignalshallbezerocorrespondingtomotionlesspressuredfluidin
thepipe,ornofluidinthepipe.

6LayoutandInstallationRequirementsofPipes
6.0.1Theflowcomponentsshouldbemountedinthepositionfacilitatingforobservationandoperation.
6.0.2Theinstallationpositionofflowcomponentsshouldavoidhigh-intensitymagneticfieldorstrong
vibration.
6.0.3Forthepipeswithaccurateflowmeasurementrequirements,straightinletandoutletsections
shouldbeplacedinfrontofandbehindflowcomponents.Thelengthofstraightsectionsshouldmeet
followingrequirements:
1Fortheelectromagneticflowmeter,thelengthofinletsectionshouldnotbelessthan5timesthe
pipediameter,andthelengthofoutletsectionnot
