TeachingPlanProcedures
Step1:Introduction
Thefirststepoftheteachingplanistointroducethebooktothechildren.BeginbyreadingKangarooaloudtotheclass,highlightingthedifferentimagesandthemesinthebook.Then,askthechildrentoidentifyanysafety-relatedissuesthattheynoticedinthestory.Encouragethemtosharetheirthoughtsandviewswiththeclass.
Afterthis,theteachershouldintroducethemainobjectivesofthelessonandexplainwhatwillbecoveredduringthelesson.Theteachershouldthenexplaintheimportanceofstayingsafeandavoidingpotentialhazards.

Afterthegroupshaveperformedtheirskits,theteachershouldfacilitateaclassdiscussiontoexplorethedifferentbehaviorsthatweredemonstrated.
Step4:IdentifyingSafePeople
