Tomysurprise,TomwonthefirstprizeintheEnglishSpeechContest.令我惊讶的是Tom居然获得了英语演讲比赛的第一名。

要想这个句子学好,必须积累情绪名词,比如:

【正态度】amazement惊奇,delight高兴,joy高兴,satisfaction满足,excitement兴奋,【负态度】annoyance烦恼,disappointment失望,horror恐怖,shame,羞耻sorrow悲伤,【中性态度】puzzlement迷惑,regret后悔,relief欣慰,surprise/amazement惊讶下面我们把这个简单句型,进行升级。

【升级1】加强情绪的语气

比如我想要表达的是:非常令我吃惊的是,汤姆在英语演讲比赛中获得了一等奖。你可以这样写:Much/Greatlytomysurprise,TomwonthefirstprizeintheEnglishSpeechContest.

也就是在to前面加上much,greatly,或者在名词前面添加great这个形容词:

Tomygreatsurprise,TomwonthefirstprizeintheEnglishSpeechContest.

【升级2】tothe+情绪名词+of

sb(名词或者代词),比如我想要表达的是:令他的父母感到吃惊的是,他在英语演讲比赛中获得了一等奖。

Tothesurprisefhisparents,hewonthefirstprizeintheEnglishSpeechContest.这里把Tomysurprise改成了Tothesurprisefhisparents,本质上,是两种所有格的变换。

【升级3】情绪名词叠可以加使用。比如我要表达:令他惊讶和高兴的是,他在英语演讲比赛中获得了一等奖

Tohissurpriseandjoy,hewonthefirstprizeintheEnglishSpeechContest.

【升级4】:“toone’s+情绪名词”位置可变换

这个短语的位置可以句首,句中,句末。请看下面例句:I,tomysurprise,foundthatTomwonthefirstprizeintheEnglishSpeechContest

Part2第二个情感万能句:sb.feltagreatsenseof+情绪名词+wellingupinsb’sheartandsurgingthroughsb.表示“某人感到一股强烈的在内心升腾、奔涌。”这个万能句也可以用来描写情绪和心理,比句式结构比第一个句子要复杂,表现力也要更丰富。wellup表示“涌出”,我们可以这样记忆well表示“好”以外,还可以表示“井”。“涌出”是用到了“井”这个含义。surge表示“汹涌”。这个句子的亮点是后半句wellingupinsb’sheartandsurgingthroughsb.,把情绪的描写形象化,具体化了。我们先来看两个例句:举例:Sunny感到一股强烈的恐惧,在她心中升腾,奔涌。Sunnyfeltagreatsenseofhorrorwellingupinherheartandsurgingthroughher.举例2:Jessica感到一股强烈的嫉妒,在她心中升腾,奔涌。Jessicafeltagreatsenseofjealousywellingupinherheartandsurgingthroughher.(jealous嫉妒的,jealousy是“嫉妒”的名词形式。)我们再来看看,这个句型还可以如何拓展升级。非常简单,就是加上非谓语动词,在不同的位置,发挥的作用不同。升级一:句首可以加上doingsth,表示这种情绪产生的原因。举例:看到一把斧子破门而入,Sunny感到一股强烈的恐惧在内心升腾,奔涌Seeinganaxpiercingthroughthedoor,Sunnyfeltagreatsenseofhorrorwellingupinherheartandsurgingthroughher.升级二:句尾可以加上doingsth,表示这种情绪产生后的结果。请看下面的例句:杰西卡感到一种强烈的嫉妒感在她心中涌出来,把罐头扔向女人。Jessicafeltagreatsenseofjealousywellingupinherheartandsurgingthroughher,throwingthecanatthewoman.(这句话里的can是名词,罐头。)What+情绪动词+sb

+was+that从句What主语从句描述情绪,that表语从句描述情绪产生的原因,在续写里我通常和学生说的是故事发展情节。【举例】
