Oneday,asHollyandThumperwererestingunderashadytree,Hollynoticedapairofbrightorangeeyesstaringatthemfrombehindthebushes.Shewasstartledatfirst,buthercuriositykickedin.Slowlyandcautiously,sheapproachedthebushes,withThumperfollowingcloselybehind.
Totheirgreatsurprise,theydiscoveredabeautifulfoxnamedAmber.Amberhadbeenwatchingthemplayandwasintriguedbytheirfriendship.SheapproachedHollyandThumperslowly,waryoftheirreaction.Holly,alwaysopentonewfriendships,greetedAmberwithawarmsmile.
AmberexplainedthatshehadalwaysbeenfascinatedbyHollyandThumper'sadventures.Sheadmittedthatshehadbeenabitlonelyinthewoodsandlongedforcompanionship.Hollywasdelightedtohearthis,asshebelievedthateveryonedeservesafriend.
Fromthatdayon,thetrioofHolly,Thumper,andAmberexploredthewoodstogether.Theyencounteredallsortsofwildlife,frombutterfliesandbirdstodeerandraccoons.Eachadventurebecameacherishedmemory,andtheirfriendshipgrewstrongereveryday.
