呼吸电刺激训练对健康青年人运动过程中呼吸模式影响的研究
Abstract
Thepurposeofthisstudywastoinvestigatetheeffectsofrespiratoryelectricstimulation(RES)ontherespiratorypatternduringphysicalexerciseonhealthyyoungadults.ParticipantswererandomlyallocatedtoaRESgroupandacontrolgroup.Thestudy'soutcomesindicatedthatREShadapositiveeffectonrespiratorypatternwithareductionindyspneaperceptionduringexercise.RESmayimprovephysicalperformanceinhealthyyoungadults.
Introduction
Duringphysicalactivity,respirationadaptstothedemandsofmetabolismandenergyexpenditureofthebody.Respirationpatterninterruptmayadverselyaffectexercisedurationandintensity,resultinginprematurefatigueanddetrimentaleffectsonathleticperformance.Dyspneaperceptionalsoexhibitsanxietyandanticipation,leadingtoanindividual’snegativeevaluationofexercisedifficulty.Promotingefficientbreathingpatternduringexercisemayimproveathleticperformanceandreducetheintensityofdyspnea.Respiratoryelectricstimulation(RES)isanovelapproachwhichuseselectricalstimulationtoexciterespiratorymusclesandenhanceventilationcapacity.ThebenefitsofREShavebeenidentifiedinindividualswithrespiratoryweaknessorsecondaryrespiratorydysfunction.However,littleisknownabouttheeffectsofRESonrespiratorypatterninhealthyyoungadults.Thisstudy,therefore,aimstoinvestigatetheeffectsofRESontherespiratorypatternduringphysicalexerciseinhealthyyoungadults.
Methods
Thestudy'sparticipantswerescreened,andtwenty-fourhealthy,youngadultsaged18-29yearswereselected.TheywererandomlyassignedtoaRESgrouporcontrolgroup.Eachparticipantunderwentbaselinerespiratoryfunctionteststorecordrestingrespiratoryparameters,includingrespiratoryrate(RR),tidalvolume(VT),inspiratorytime(IT),expiratorytime(ET),totalinspiratorytime(Itotal),totalexpiratorytime(Etotal),inspiratorydutycycle(Ti/Ttot),andexpiratorydutycycle(Te/Ttot).Inaddition,participantsratedtheirdyspneaperceptionusingthemodifiedBorgratingofperceivedexertion(RPE)scaleatrestandduringexercise.Participantscompletedthreeexercisetrialsatacycleergometerfor20minutesatanintensityof50%oftheirmaximalheartrate.TheRESgroupparticipantsreceivedelectricalstimulationthroughanadhesiveelectrodeappliedtotheabdominalmuscles,whereasthecontrolgroupparticipantsweregivenaplacebostimulation.
Results
Asshownintheresults,theRESgroupexhibitedasignificantdecreaseinRR(P=0.002),anincreaseinVT(P=0.010),IT(P=0.016),andItotal(P=0.009)duringexercisethanthecontrolgroup.NosignificantdifferencewasreportedinET,Etotal,andinspiratoryandexpiratorydutycyclebetweenthetwogroups.TheRESgroupparticipants'dyspneaperceptionwassignificantlylowerduringexercisethanthecontrolgroupparticipants(P=0.012).
Discussion
ThepresentstudyshowedthatREShasapositiveeffectonrespiratorypattern,asindicatedbyadecreaseinRRandanincreaseinVT,IT,andItotalduringphysicalexercise.TheimprovementinVT,IT,andItotalcorrespondstothegreaterinspiratoryairflowandlungvolume,withbettergasexchange.RESappliedtotheabdominalmusclesmayhavestimulatedtherespiratorymuscles,increasingthestrengthofrespiratorymusclecontractionandthevolumeofforcedinspiration.DyspneaperceptionwasreducedintheRESgroupparticipantscomparedtothecontrolgroupparticipants.Thestimulationofrespirationmusclesmayalleviatethedyspneaperceptionlevelduringexercise,andthedecreaseinanxietyisbeneficialtoexerciseperformance.Nosignificantdifferencewasfoundintheexpiratoryphaseofrespiratoryparameters,indicatingthatRESdidnotaffecttheexpiratoryphasefunction.Therefore,thepositiveeffectofRESontherespiratorypatternmaycontributetobetterexerciseperformanceandreducedyspneaperceptionduringphysicalexercise.
Conclusion
Thestudy'sfindingsprovideevidencethatrespiratoryelectricstimulationhasapositiveimpactonrespiratorypatternanddyspneaperceptioninhealthyyoungadultsduringphysicalexercise.TherespiratorypatternimproveswithRESbydecreasingrespiratoryrateandincreasingtidalvolume,inspiratorytime,andtotalinspiratorytime.RESmayenhancerespiratorymusclecontractionstrengthandvolumeofforcedinspiration,improvegasexchange,andalleviatedyspneaperception.Thesefind
