pessimistseesacalamityineveryopportunity。”

LadiesandGentlemen，keepingoptimistic，youwillbeabletorealize，in

spiteofsomehardship，there’salwayshopewaitingforyou，whichwillleadyou

totheultimatesuccess。Historicallyaswellascurrently，therearetoomany

optimistsofthiskindtoenumerate。Yousee，ThomasEdisonisoptimistic;if

not，thelightofhopeinhisheartcouldnotilluminatethewholeworld。Alfred

Nobelisoptimistic;ifnot，theexplosivesandtheprestigiousNobelPrize

wouldnothaveeintobeing。AndLanceArmstrongisalsooptimistic;ifnot，the

Arosemaybebeautiful，ormaybenot;thatdependsonyourattitudeonly，

2008OlympicGames。Tillnow，wehaveusedtwoseventhsofthepreparationtime。

Howmuchchangeshaveyouseen?Newroads，newsubwaylines，public-exercising

equipmentswithbeautifulcolors，largeblocksofgrassfields，andalsolotsof

moderngymswhichareunderconstruction。

Otherthanthose，thereareevenmoregoodeffectsbroughttousbythe

OlympicGamesthatcannotbeseendirectly。Forexample，moreandmorepeople

willgettoknowChina。I’msurethemysteriousChineseculturewillattract

themstrongly。Andthegameswillalsodogoodtotheeconomyandenvironment，

foritisgainingtheattentionofforeigninvestorsandtheawarenessof

environmentalprotectionisbeingstrengthened。Whatismore，OlympicGamesgive

auniqueopportunitytoinspireandeducateanewgenerationofChineseyouth
