假使人们又麻烦,他们应当把这些烦扰留给自己/保守机要。

keep:在此处意为“保存,保存〞keep?tooneself不向他人诉说,保守机要;

②Shejustkeepthinking,“IfItellmyparents,?〞

她一直在想:“假使我告诉我的父母的话,?〞

在此句中,keep表示“(使?)保持(某种状态或关系);一直??,后面接动词

时,该动词要用-ing的形式,形成keepdoing…结构。

③Unlesswetalktosomeone,we’llcertainlyfeelworse.

假使我们不向别人倾诉,我们必定会感觉更糟。unless:连词,意为“除非,假使不〞,在句中引导条件状语从句。

④IfItellmyparents,they’llbeangry.假使我告诉我的父母,他们将会很生气。

angry:形容词,“生气的,发怒的〞。beangrywithsb.“生某人的气〞,beangry

at/aboutsth.“因某事而生气〞。

advise:动词,“建议,劝告〞。其名词形式为:advice(不可数)advisesb.on/aboutsth.就…问题给某人建议

advisesb.todosth.建议/劝告某人做某事

⑥Itisbestnottorunawayfromourproblems.最好不要逃避我们的问题.Itisbest(not)todosth.最好(不)做某事.

⑦Hethinksthefirststepistofindsomeoneyoutrusttotalkto.他认为第一步是找一个我们信任的人倾诉。

这是一个主从复合句,既有宾语从句,又有定语从句。其中“thefirststepistofind

someoneyoutrusttotalkto〞是宾语从句,作动词thinks的宾语。而“youtrust〞又是一个定语从句,修饰先行词someone.动词不定式totalkto也作定语,修饰someone.

⑧InEnglish,wesaythatsharingaproblemislikecuttingitinhalf.在英语中,我们说与人分担一个烦扰就像把烦扰分成两半。share:动词,“共享、分担〞。sharesth.withsb.与某某一起共享?cut…inhalf:把…切成两半;把…一分为二。inhalf:分成两半

⑨Soyou’rehalfwaytosolvingaproblemjustbytalkingtosomeoneaboutit!因此,你只要和别人聊聊这个问题,你就已经解决了问题的一半。behalfwayto…表示“完成了或做了事情的一部分〞,其中halfway后面的to是介词,

后加动词的-ing形式。

如:Wearestillonlyhalfwaytofinishingthejob.我们才仅仅完成了工作的一部分。by:表示方式,相当于汉语“通过?方法,使用?方式〞的意思。如:WecanpracticeandlearnEnglishbysingingEnglishsongs.我们可以通过唱英文歌曲来学、练英语。Step5Summary
