103.4.2CoffeeCultureinChina103.4.3TheProspectforTeaandCoffee11Ⅳ.CONCLUSION12REFERENCES13ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS14-.z.ABSTRACTBothteaandcoffeehavealonghistory.Thereisnodoubtthattheyhadformedrelatedculturesrespectively.paringthetwocultures,onecouldfindoutthattherearemanydifferencesbetweenthem.Thosearepresentedinthefollowingdirections:differencesintheclassifications,differencesinthespreadingways,differencesintheprotocolsandsoon.Allthesedifferencesleaveanimpressionthatcoffeecultureseemssimplerandfreerthanteaculture.Fore*ample,theprotocolsofteaarestrict,rulescannotbechanged.Whileinmakingcoffeeonecandowhateverhelikes.Thesedifferencescanbetracedbacktotheformingofthesetwocultures.Bothteacultureandcoffeecultureareareflectionoftheirrelatedsociety.Differentpeoplehavedifferentthinkingmodes.Theorientpeopleseemmorefantastic,theybelieveinthingsthatdonote*ist,suchasgods.Theywouldadjusttothenatureandkeepthingstheoriginalway.Thewesterners,onthecontrary,preferrealism.Theywouldchangetheenvironmentinsteadofadjustingtoit.Thestudyofthesetwocultureswillcontributetotheunderstandingofthedifferencesbetweenorientcultureandwesternculture.Alsoitwillhelptheinterchangeofthesetwocultures.Keywords:teaculture;coffeeculture;differences;thinkingmodes摘要茶与咖啡都拥有着悠久的历史,因此它们都衍生出了相应的文化。对比这两种文化很容易发现两者的不同。这些不同之处体现在分类、传播方式、相关礼仪及其它方面上。这些差异无不昭示着相较于茶文化,咖啡文化显得更加的自由随性。一如两者在礼仪上的差异:茶礼仪已经固定下来并有着一套严格的步骤;而咖啡礼仪则相对简单的多。深究下去就能发现除客观原因外,这些差异都与东西方传统文化及人们的思维模式有关。东方人比较感性,讲求融入自然;而西方人则更加理性,较之于适应环境他们更愿意改变环境。只有了解了这两种文化,才能更好的理解东西方文化的差异,促进东西方的文化交流。关键词茶文化;咖啡文化;差异;思维模式-.z.I.INTRODUCTIONTherehavealwaysbeendifferencesbetweenteacultureandcoffeeculture.Peopleseldomthinkaboutthereasons.Infact,teacultureandcoffeeculturearedifferentbecausetheyhavedifferencesinsocialatmosphere,historyandliterarybackground.Peoplehavedonelotsofresearchesonit.Theresearchescanbemainlydividedintothreedirections:researchonteaculture,researchoncoffeeculture,andresearchonthesimilaritiesanddifferencesbetweenthem.Asaboutthediscussionofteaculture,theresearchersmainlytalkaboutthehistory,theprotocol,andtheinfluenceofteahaveonthinkingmodes,andtheyonlydiscussteacultureindependently.Inthediscussionofcoffeeculture,theymainlytalkabouttheoriginofcoffee,thebroadcastingofcoffee,andthedifferencesofcoffeeculturebetweendifferentcountries.Yettheystilltalkaboutcoffeecultureseparately.GeneralAnalysisontheparisonofChineseTeaCultureandFrenchCoffeeCulturebyWangYulangoesdeeperaboutthesetwocultures.(WangYulan:2008)Itisgoodthatshediscussesthemparatively,buttheshortingisthat:itonlytalksaboutcoffeecultureinFrance,anditmainlytalksaboutteaandcoffeethemselvesinsteadoftheculture.Consideringthepresentstudyconditionandtheshortingstheyhave,thisthesiswillmakeananalysisonteacultureandcoffeecultureparativelyinthefollowingsections.Inparttwo,thethesiswillintroduceteacultureandcoffeecultureindetails,includestheirdefinitions,originsandclassifications.Andtheninpartthree,thethesiswillmakeathroughanalysisonthedifferencesbetweenthem.Thesedifferencesincludethedifferentbroadcastingmethodofteaandcoffee,differentprotocolsandtherelatedworks.Alsointhispart,thethesiswillintroducethepresentconditionsofteaandcoffee,aboutteainwesterncountriesandcoffeeinChina.Finally,thethesiswillmakeaconclusionthatthesedifferencesaretheresultofthedifferentthinkingmodesbetweentheorientsandthewesterners.TheChinesepeoplebelieveinnature,whilethewesternerspreferrealism.TheChineseprefertheunityofheavenandhumanity,whilethewesternermakethedivisionbetweenheavenandpeopleclear.Alltheanalysesmadeinthethesiswillbestrictandspecified.Undoubtedlyitishelpfulforthestudyoforientandwesternculture.II.DESCRIPTIONSOFTEACULTUREANDCOFFEECULTUREManypeopleareinterestedinteacultureandcoffeeculture,butfewofthemknowaboutthebasicknowledgeofthem.Thusitisnecessaryforthepersonswhowanttohaveafurtherstudyaboutteacultureandcoffeeculturegetacquaintancewiththedefinitionsandthedifferencesaboutthetwocultures.Onlyinthisway,canapersonstartstosavourthetwocultures.2.1TheOriginsofTeaandCoffeeTeaistheagriculturalproductoftheleaves,leafbuds,andinternodesoftheCamelliasinensisplant,preparedandcuredbyvariousmethods.Afterwater,teaisthemostwidelyconsumedbeverageintheworld.Ithasaslightlybitter,astringentflavorwhichmanypeopledon’tenjoy.TherehasbeenanoldsayingthatShennong,agodinthemythologytime,inordertoprotecthispeoplefromgettingpoisonedbyeatingthoseunknownherbs,tastedandclassifiedalltheherbshemet.Onedayhegotpoisonedandwasnearlydied,thenaccidentallydidheatetheleavesofsomeCamelliasinensisplantandgotcured.Laterhefoundthattea—theleavesofCamelliasinensisplant,candeto*icatemanyherbs’poison.Fromthatdayon,hetaughthispeopletodrinktea.Coffeeisabreweddrinkmadefromroastedseeds,monlycalledcoffeebeans.Theyareseedsofcoffeecherriesthatgrowontreesinover70countries,cultivatedprimarilyinLatinAmerica,SoutheastAsia,andAfrica.Greenunroastedcoffeeisoneofthemosttradedagriculturalmoditiesintheworld.Thefindingofcoffeeisquiteanotherstory.Itsaysthatamongthe10thcenturyA.D.,anoldshepherdinKaffa,asmalltownofEthiopiainEastAfrica,foundhissheepweree*itedandnoisyafterpassing
